Quoting someone else when you don't know the answer is pathetic.

To answer the question though they will work on Windows 10 but each game may require a bit of tinkering to get to work.

You are right, I don't know the answer, I was just referencing a question from a poster that appeared to already be answered in a previous post! It needs "tinkering" is an equally pointless post responding to the same question from the poster as mine

The answer that you gave, and had time to create, and openly admit is your own answer, in your own words, even after reading the pre-empting post from Derpsauce, and my repost of Derpsauces pre-emptive statement, which you are digging me out on as "pathetic", you have made just as useless!

You are probably so proud of your wondrous knowledge enlightening people that "tinkiering" is the all-encompassing answer to getting discounted legacy software to work on modern operating systems, that the mere fact two people had before you had mentioned "there may be some issues" is completely lost on you.

HTH (unless you are plankton) circa 1973

In now going to stop trolling :)

Work fine for me with Windows 10 on the desktop and laptop. You will get icons for all games and one that says the ultimate collection. The ultimate collection one is for installers, wallpapers etc so download each game individually. If you have any problems set the game to run with Windows 7 compatibility.

this early access was for the new generals beta. that game was cancelled and no longer exists. shame as it was a good game.
a few of the old c&c games are now free. just google for them.
it was a great franchise until red alert 3 and c&c 4.

Cheers was waiting for this to drop in price. I remember countless hours spent playing this!

Heat for the deal. Great price although I will have to bow out of this one. I loved these games (particularly Tiberian Sun) when they first came out. Played them for hours on end and when some of them came up in a bundle last year, my nostalgia got the better of me and I leapt on them. Unfortunately they have not aged well. The graphics are obviously poor by today's standards and I was happy to look past the superficial elements. However the games themselves just didn't feel the same or play particularly well. Sometimes fantastic games like these are best left in the past, serving as great gaming memories rather than being replayed 10 or 15 years later. Those rose tinted glasses need to be put away lest I start repurchasing chase HQ, Operation Wolf, Double Dragon, Rocket Ranger etc etc etc :)

Loved these games!! Is there a modern equivalent of it?

The original creators of C&C, Westwood Studios, formed a new studio called Petroglyph Games.

They brought out Grey Goo, which is a base building RTS. Pretty good game, but some broken AI. Worth playing though, Looks gorgeous on max settings.

More recently they have also just brought out "8 bit armies" which is a very simplified RTS, similar to the original C&C. Im playing that now. Its a great play and only £11 or so on Steam. Nostalgia is rife! It even says "Welcome back, Commander" when you first open it up..

Our best hope for a new C&C or a similar game is from these guys. EA bought out Westwood and progressively killed C&C. There was a reboot in the pipe line from a in house EA studio but it was canned. I believe that was a Generals sequel, but they turned it into some free to play online thing which ultimately failed to come to fruition (probably a good thing..). A shame that the early concept didn't get the green light though, the screen shots looked good.

I too whole-heartedly recommend OpenRA. You can play Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, Dune 2000 and Tiberian Sun will be along soon. OpenRA is constantly being developed (it's even better than the originals) and it is cross platform: whether on Windows, Mac, or any flavour of Linux, it will be a pain-free install. Also, it's FREE! Here is the link: http://www.openra.net/

You can play by yourself, online with people from around the world, or over LAN.

Tiberian Dawn is where the real fight is at - I'm playing that right now!

Not at all, acting like a idiot on the internet and just quoting other people isn't funny using your own head for originality is usually funny.

Then we'll have to agree to disagree. I didn't see anyone else coming up with anything like that, basically, the way he put it was actually using his own head.
