If I bought this and played say, 10 hour trial of BF1 and then bought it, would it keep all my save data ?

Yes, your progress carries over.

Looks great. Does anyone know roughly how long ea waits before putting new games on there (bf1 being the game I'm looking for)?
Great deal regardless, had most of these games on ps4, and didn't fancy buying them all over again!
FIFA usually goes in around July. battlefield won't go in until the premium period ends. At least November I guess. It gives you a 10 hour trial.
yeah they've made sure 10 hour max play is well buried! I expect nothing less of EA :)
How is it buried? On Xbox you just download the game and crack on. Plus it's available a week before release.

Seriously? The only indication of max 10hour play is if you scroll down the middle (even lower) and read "Battlefield 1
Experience the dawn of all-out war. Play for a full 10 hours."
I almost payed £20. Not a bad deal, but I think T&C should be clearer :)

I've had two years of EA access for XBOX One and never paid more than £20 per year, I don't get it, am I missing something?
Yes, this is origin, not ea.

That's a great price. Shame I don't have a powerful gaming PC anymore. Would love to see something similar on those pay online websites where you just login and use their servers to play games through their portal??
Heat added.

I see people complaining about Origin on here from time to time. I have 2 games on Origin, Burnout Paradise which plays brilliantly and NFS:MW which seems to have controller lag. I'm wondering if there are more problems to expect.
I dont think its fair to blame or question the sales team (Origin) for the controller lag you experience. You can get some games via Steam but I don't know if hardware would prefer that you bought from Valve.

You can get these both on Instant Gaming for less than that.
The Deluxe DLC is mostly cosmetic. This doesn't include the BF1 Season Pass, though I believe future map DLC for Titanfall 2 is supposed to be free?
some, not all the future dlc. would still need to buy premium for bf1 for four sets of four maps still to be released, or buy them individually.

Just make sure you don't accidentally buy the Battlefield 1/Titanfall 2 bundle instead of the 2 as separate purchases as it appears at £59.99 for some reason when going through to cart.

Edit: My mistake, the bundled price is for the deluxe editions of both.

If you have a PC go to CDkeys and get a months EA access for £2.99 and then play through all three versions of the games with all the DLC, as the deluxe versions are on EA access on the PC.
£2.99 to binge on the deluxe version of these games for a month is a steal.
Origin Access is PC. EA Access is Xbox One

Yeah the The PC one.

Pity they don't offer the same content on both the PC and xbox one versions.

is it worth it or should I just get cities skyline?

It's so tragic what EA did to this.

Get the proper version for free instead
http://www.myabandonware.com/game/simcity-2000-cd-collection-311#download

(or pay for it at GoG, not sure what you get extra... maybe it's got a easy Windows launcher?)

Or maybe GOG because it's legit rather than a pirate copy? (it doesn't fit the definition of 'abandomware' since both GOG and Origin still sell it, ie. it's not been abandoned).
Cities Skylines is incredible, a superior city builder to this I think.

That site is amazing. Thanks for the link. Great to see so many classics preserved.
this is the price the game should have been, and worth it for £3.74. heat for that. it had a terrible release, lots of bad publicity, bad reliability and reviews and reminds me why i will never pre-order again. but, for that price, worth a look.

A classic isn't something from 2013! A classic is at least 10 years, but more like 15/20 which draws you back in on gameplay alone like the original Sim City, Transport Tycoon, Cannon Fodder...

yeah I don't get it, I really believe that it is really good price. I think that people are voting cold because they are not happy that base game was bare bones and expensive DLC was enhancing experience. odd as this is the trend today. people are voting Battlefield,s 1 27.99 price hot but u also need season pass to have complete experience.

i still recall that panic alarm in generals when nuclrar bomb facility detected and you had a short time to blow it up or get wiped???? oh i loved generals..... was gutted after buying the later games and they were so rubbish. i never knew why. someone said new programmers. makes sense as i loved dune. but how did they ruin it??? surely same game but new graphics and level design was all that was needed?

In a large part it was EA's binning off of Westwood Studios but also, more importantly, when EA purchased Westwood back in the late 90's they started to dictate release timetables and content. This saw many of the WW team jump ship until the final WW developer left in 2003 - right after the launch of Generals.

It would have been interesting to have seen what journey Westwood would have taken us on with the evolution of the franchise had EA not interfered. It may have remained close to it's Dune 2 roots...but then again they may have evolved further away anyway.

EA's subsequent releases were mostly playable but just not the same. C&C 4 was the worst in my opinion. I have no clue what they were thinking (or smoking) when they released that pile of junk - absolutely painful. C&C 3 and Red Alert 3 were for the most part at least fairly fun and playable. I gave up after giving C&C 4 plenty of chances to reel me in.

We just need either a fan made or original WW developer made Dune 2 rebirth and I'd be happy :)
while we are here... what do people think of company of heroes and any other games they recommene? i enjoyed coh but later on it gets manic in the mission i am stuck on. it might be the last. are you supposed to use the pause button to change orders or is that cheating as you cannot do it in multi player. just the pc always has an advantage when so much going on! Maybe i am too old so play turn based games like xcom and panzer tactics hd mainly now and shy away from rts.
also days at uni playing red alert. two computers linked up. building lots of electricity plants to survive their attack and the glee wuen your sole warrior parachuted in and destoyed everything after you knocked their electricity grid out! the guard dogs!!!

Good price, is it worth buying though? I preferred the older Most Wanted and Hot prursuit when it comes to NFS games, is this similar or more like the newer NFS games?
it's had very average reviews. like most games now though a lot of the problems have been patched. it's really down to how much you like the need for speed series.
It's apparently more down to how much you like being forced to be always online for it to work.
Lost all hope for EA to remove that. Too late now.
Any good with steering wheel?

Worth it for one player experience?
In all honesty, no.

The Operations mode feels like a massive online campaign though which is quite good.
Is the season pass on sale?
Cheers - just used my Revolut card and HOLA vpn on Chrome - got for £17.87
I was able to us this free vpn https://www.ibvpn.com/plans-vpn-smartdns-proxy/ (no credit card details required) and get the standard game from Korean site. Wen you visit the Korean Origin site you do have an option to change language to English, can't remember which one it was but its one of the drop down menus on main page, just try them.

I used my Revolut card to make the purchase and it came to £18.04, as soon as i paid it gave me option to download the game, i first disconnected from the VPN so i was back on UK sites then I installed Origin and the game was there as 'purchased' so I commenced the download and played it when it got to 35% downloaded, it's currently got about 10mins to finish the complete download.

All seems ok with the game but I'm not sure if Origin will block anything in the future, most people on the web say they won't but will wait and see!

See the original thread on here http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/bf1-via-korea-vpn-only-18-00-gbp-origin-2584339

Electronic Arts is one of the biggest names in gaming, and are the software firm responsible for huge titles like FIFA, Need for Speed and the Sims. Now it is the easiest way to download new PC releases and add-ons for EA’s titles.

All of EA’s games can be downloaded at the Origin online shop at www.origin.com. The Origin platform needs to be downloaded onto your Mac or PC before you can use the service.

Ordering at Origin.com

To make a purchase online, all customers need to create an Origin Account. You just need to enter a few details and choose whether to receive the Origin Newsletter or not. Now you can complete your purchase as normal. The Origin software will be downloaded with your first purchase or separately at the download page.

Members can also play upcoming EA games before they are released to the public and receive an automatic discount on new games, pre-orders, FIFA points and expansion packs.

Origin Access also takes the form of a social network, allowing members to interact with each other at the EA Access board. You can track what your contacts have purchased and what they are playing, exchange tips and seek support from EA staff.

Every November, Origin also takes part in the Black Friday retail event, which kick starts the festive shopping season. In the past, Origin have actually jumped the gun, announcing their Black Friday deals a few days earlier than other gaming retailers, so keep your eyes peeled before the day itself.

Payment methods supported by Origin include: VISA, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Paysafecard, PayPal, Discover Card, Ukash, EA Cash Card and the EA Wallet.

Shipping Options from Origin.com

All Origin products are downloadable and nothing is sent via post. To download games, all you need to do is install the Origin software. You can shop via that software itself or head to the website.

All games will be downloaded into your own My Games library on your computer. In some cases, it might be necessary to customise your Origin account to ensure that payments are not made by family members. In situations like this, you can securely save your payment information.

To make your payments secure, you need to uncheck the “save payment” tab on the checkout page. Whenever you make a purchase the system will request your card details, instead of automating the payments process.

Returning Items to Origin

Origin offers full refunds on all titles downloaded from their system under their Great Game Guarantee.

However, shoppers should be aware that not all Origin stocked titles are covered by the guarantee. Not all third party suppliers have chosen to participate. At the checkout, you can see whether your product is covered or not.

You can return any item and claim a full refund, but you must do so up to 24 hours after first launching the game, or within 7 days of making the purchase.

  1. To request a refund, head to the “order history” section of your Origin Account.
  2. Select “Request a Refund” next to the product in question.
  3. Now, complete the Refund Request Form and press “Submit”.
  4. Within 48 hours, Origin will get back to you and a refund should be provided within 10 days.
