Tried it, ran battery down and tried again, used another program to connect via Ip address etc, still no luck. Pity, before the update I was a big fan.No support from them, and it seems that few people have same problem since Jan updates.

For what its worth, I picked up the Mi Band II from Gearbest recently and I'm pretty pleased with it. Despite the length of time it took to arrive but at the end of the day its far cheaper than buying from Amazon or A N Other UK reseller and I'm used to it now having bought quite a few things from them. I managed to pick it up for just under £12 using some credits, I think I'd still pay a bit more and have the display than this model though but if you want something cheap I guess this might be fine. It seems to be syncing OK. I'd love to know how accurate the heart rate monitor is though, I'm in reasonable condition at 79bps if its correct :)

I loved my Mi Band 2, fantastic value and did exactly what it's supposed to do, and did it very well. I have actually stopped using it now however, as although it was very good, I found that looking at it when a notification came through wasn't enough, I found myself wishing I could see at least some of the content related to the notification so I could decide whether to get the phone out of my pocket or not. So, I bought a new "Samsung Gear Fit 2" for £70 on Ebay, and that really is an amazing bit of kit. Even if you never use any of the so-called fit features, it has enough "smart" features that it's very very useful. Works with Android phones and also iPhones as well.

Had same problem with mi band 2. Managed to fix. Turned bluetooth on off. Unpaired band via mi band app settings. Paired up again. All fixed. Maybe I got lucky.

Initially happened to me. HR monitor stopped working.
I simply updated the firmware and at the same time , updated the app from the Play store and normal service resumed.
Not sure if people are updating the app at the same time as the firmware, but try that.

since there is no display does it Bluetooth directly to a phone to show the heart rate ?

Firm ware on watch updated about the same time as app updated. I accidentally updated watch firmware while fiddling with app looking at my sleep. I ended up taking watch off and leaving on phone while it update. After that it seemed broken? Unpaired. Bluetooth on/off. Rebooted phone and hay presto! Working again. Not sure which fixed though. Think you need to update phone app and watch firmware, then reboot phone.

Yes. via xiaomi app.

Only drawbacks with Samsung Fit 2 is that it lasts about 2 days on battery , and hard to set up sleep monitoring. Its not something you can forget about charging for weeks like the Xiaomi band...

I get three days on my Gear Fit 2 - sleep monitoring works ok for me, I don't remember having to do anything special to get it working. Even more impressed with it now, when I saw recently that it is automatically able to detect when I'm riding my bike without me having to do anything to it, offering encouragement and telling me how many calories I've burnt etc. Very good.

Admittedly the month-long battery of the Mi Band 2 was amazing though, but it just didn't quite do enough for me.
