A great new discount card has been launched this week for tourists on holiday to Orlando in Florida. This card is similar to the Kids Eat Free Card (if you know of this) but this gives some cracking discounts off for the whole family. Here are a few of the better deals to be had - CiCi's Pizza which is already really cheap give you a 30% discount when you show the card, Wild Buffalo Wings on I-Drive and Lake Buena Vista (lovely) give 20% off and even McDonalds are part of the program giving a good 15% off when you show your card. At a maximum cost of $25 it may only take 2 restaurant visits to get your money back and there are also lots of savings for some of Orlando's smaller attractions like Gatorland etc. The card is valid for up to 4 people at a time and will last for 90 days from first use.

Pictured is the card I have just received but I got it for free (as a journalist) so I do not know how much delivery is to the UK but you will be able to collect from Orlando I reckon. Also pictured (but too small to read) is a list of all of the locations to use the card along with their discounts offered and you can find out all of the details from their website. The list actually folds up into a little folder for the card. You can find out more about the card and purchase one from http://www.eatandplaycard.com

Hundreds of famous American eateries, and you'd go with the one that's on every corner of this country just on the off chance it's slightly more salty or tasteless than ours? =D

Only in this country would someone use the phrase "The birthplace of McDonalds" as though it's a pilgrimage =D

Each to their own. :)

I never eat there myself when we go over, but to make a comment like that about the USA seems a bit silly. Granted, if you talked about going to Spain and eating fish & chips at the Red Lion, I would agree 100% with you

Naw, I wasn't talking about it as a cultural / country specific thing, I just meant more in terms of a trying new experiences kinda thing =)

so what discount do you get at ponderosa and sizzler then?

You can find easily enough discount coupons out there for free! Ponderosa is so much nicer than Sizler anyway

Last year we tried Golden Corral and Bob Evans - both were excellent. Bob Evans is for OAPs though :-D
#12
I prefer Ponderosa for breakfast, and Sizzler in the evenings for the Clam Chowder =D

Not on the same day, of course !
#13
I know about the free coupons. just wanted to know if this card gives more than 10% off at Ponderosa and Sizlers, cos if it does it might be worth getting depending on the discount....
#14
Here is the list of participating outlets with all of their discounts

#15
can this be used along side the kids eat free card
#16
It can be used for 4 people but as you will know with the KEF card one adult must pay full price so you would use this card for the first 3 people and then have an adult by a full meal price to use your KEF card

I think that would be the best scenario

That is what my Dad said about Ponderosa steaks. I have had breakfast at Ponderosa many times but I haven't been very impressed with my last couple of visits. Imay still go and try a steak tho'

FYI Ponderosa is 10% off with this card so not the best deal available but hey! its better in your pocket than theirs http://www.mrbrit.co.uk/myimages/thumbsup.gif

Try Golden Corral - they cook each one to order and instead of the starter buffet, you just go up and help yourself to main courses - elasticated waist trousers are required, if not essential

Voted cold.
Why pay for this when you can pick up discount vocuhers for the majority of these places all over Orlando
#21
I`ve noticed 10% at Macys. You can get a 15% tourist card at customer services in Macys on production of your passport.
Ponderosa. 10% vouchers are available in tourist brochures you can obtain from most hotel receptions.

In fact, most of these discounts are available in tourist book coupons you can pick up almost anywhere, including street corners.

yuuuuukkkkk!!! cicis is the dirtiest sh1t hole i've ever seen, far cleaner to eat off a banana leaf from a hawker in a Bangkok side street!
#25
You can often pick up local vouchers for free when your over there that offer very similar offers (on the food and attractions at least). So unless you have a large number in your party or expect to spend a lot at those specific outlet stores its a Very Cold from me! : (

Why not just pickup the voucher books which are free and cover all these places? We had 50% off at cicis for example!
#37
 from me, looks like a good deal but not sure i would use it that much.
Ponderosa I-drive = not great, preferred TGI Fridays on Carrier Drive....
#38

you can not get a voucher for fultons crab house this card gives u 20% off the card will pay for its self with one visit there as dinner is around $50 each
#40
I have a house there so consider myself half native and 95% of these discounts are available everywhere. The only 2 that I think u hardly ever find is Tony Romas (great baby backs) and Macys. My wife is a voucher addict.

Also these are run of the mill restaurants and none of the better ones eg not got Texas de Brasil - The capital grille- Bahama Breeze - The Cheesecake factory - Outback- Rainforest cafe - Any Disney -Any Universal studios- Olive Garden - Macaroni Grill - Chilis - Changs china bistro to name but a few. Dont eat Indian in Orlando its terrible, well compared to Glasgow and Manchester.

So I need to vote cold as I dont think its a hot deal
