Got the following from TravelZoo and think it is actually a really good deal if you fancy heading over to visit Mickey and Co.

Current fares for flights from Manchester to Orlando are hovering around £344 return, so you can imagine our amazement when we saw this incredible £196 return fare from First Choice.

This deal is valid for travel on one date only, 11 December, and requires a 2-week stay. Flights are on Thomson Airways and fly in and out of Orlando's smaller (and less crowded) Sanford airport, which is located 18 miles northeast of Orlando.

Beware you will be travelling home on Christmas day. The return flight is at 4pm on the 25th.

You can upgrade for £100 PP to premium economy.

Not direct tho....................overnight in Bangkok

You know if it was via Bangkok i would be booked already. It would be the perfect way to combine my fave place and old home Thailand and my sons fave place Orlando or more so disney in one holiday. Would be better if it was a two month holiday though and not a 2 week. :p

If we had not already been twice in the last 5 months, we would be booking this. I just thought it might be a good deal for someone wanting to go. The exchange rate prob has alot to do with the price of the flights, can believe that demand has fallen at the moment.

1 overnight in Bankok could stretch to a fortnight if you wear a yellow t-shirt

I would be more concerned about the fact that the airport is going to be declared fit for purpose, such a short time after the pad have left. It is meant to take longer to declare swampy safe but i think the Mai ben Rai attitude has kicked in.

I am waiting to watch a few land safely before i head over in January.:whistling:

Would love to go now but kids at school, and work commitments mean it's impossible.
Here's hoping someone finds a similar deal for the easter or summer hols !

Just back from Florida there. Went with First Choice (who are now Thomsons) and there flights are really good. As atlantic said though, can be a bit chilly at times. was like this a few times, especially in the morning.

Great deal though, voted hot.

That was tongue in cheek I think.

Did anyone notice that this is Sandford airport and not Orlando International (MCO)?

FYI, it's a weenie weenie airport. Don't expect to get much shopping done!

True, the plane I flew on in the summer had a first choice badge on the tail.

It also had a sticker saying "Operated by Thomson Fly" on
The door
The safety card
The magazine
and even on the toilet...lol:oops:

Think they were trying to make a point:roll:

Sanford is fine - just dont expect to get a decent meal! I always take advantage of the $4 bottle of whisky deal in the duty free shop (tastes great). Not as convernient as MCO, but 9/10 its cheaper hence why we use it. Thomson dont fly to Orlando in the winter months anymore.

apparently you are more likely to have your bags opened (broken into) by the airport staff. One person I heard had the locks ripped off their Samsonite at Stanford, but has never happened at Orlando
