I'd probably put my foot straight through the TV on the first night.

Thats dumb, the tv is bed level so by the time you get in, and your feet at the bottom, your not going to see the tv

Is there any alternatives available. I'm wanting one to fit with a larger screen. I'm moving into an apartment and I'm told I can't hang a TV off the wall.

Yep. I considered getting one of these a few months back but decided against this one for exactly that reason.

Yep. There are quite a few out there.

This one: http://www.bedworld.net/product/115BOWTVF027--KINGSI/Bedworld_Discount_Bowburn_32_inch_TV_Bed_Black.html

Or Argos do a cheaper model: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6924221.htm?_$ja=tsid:11527%7Ccc:%7Cprd:6924221%7Ccat:home+and+furniture+%2F+beds+%2F+tv+beds+%2F

Both take up to a 32" TV and it raises out of the end of the bed when in use so your feet don't get in the way.

Or if you're feeling flush, here is the daddy of TV beds .... http://www.tvbed.co.uk/products/Sandman-TV-Bed.html

You spread your feet and look down between them. The only problems would "arise" if you were watching the pron channel.

Dear mods, if you are going to delete one of my posts then at least go to the effort of deleting all the responses as well, otherwise you end up looking like ****.

Yes watching the football while entertaining the girlfriend

Although if it's Newcastle I would prefer to look at the wall :)

I believe the TV unit slides up.... now whether that is electric or manual I don't know.....
banned#17
so you just have an aerial lead draped down from the ceiling or lying across the floor?

Or under the bed to the wall the beds up against and from there along the skirting to anywhere in the room... you know just like any other TV ;)

alanchiz! I've seen you on NMZ. :)

In my personal opinion, despite the fact that TVs built into the end of the bed is a cool concept, you can't beat a TV that's mounted on the wall.

4 Poster bed. Sling steel cable across two posts
Hang 42in plasma from steel cables using cable ties and Duck tape.
Job done.
Hope that helps :D

It's like it was made for Charlie Sheen or something.

Note it shows three pillow places rather than the more conventional two .... X)

(Incidentally, although I did look at these, I ended up not getting one. Just got a normal bed and wall mounted the TV ....)

If you can find that TV new for £80 you should post it up on here, it would get some serious heat.

£150+ is a slightly more realistic price for it ....
