Couldn't see price on the shelf (I expected it to be around £4) but scanned at 1p !! See receipt. Found at Worksop store.

#4
Someone else from Worksop - small world after all! Unfortunately I have no need for lightbulbs...
#5
you could have paid an extra £1.31 for 2 more bottles of coca cola! :p

Ok ok! I did bomb on the coke, but to be honest I thought the balm tissues were the coldest deal (but I was acting on my ill wife's instructions...)

^^ oO divorce coming in the new year

Excellent deal - none in Milton keynes, none in Kidlington, none in Banbury. Have phone all three stores and all stores checked their computer systems for stock.

Such a shame!

Heat added!

Witney had stock 30 mins ago

Excellent price! I'd buy it if I didn't get rid of my halogen lighting.

Holy crap! You can see in the dark?!
#14
Voted cold*. I've been to Worksop and it would be improved if people didn't use lightbulbs. It just draws attention to it.

*This is a joke.

PS Can you get quidco?

lol you asked customer service why it wasn't a penny?
fair enough if it said 1p on the ticket and scanned at £3.89, then yeah but surely not the other way round. just like going to buy some marigolds and ask why they aren't 10p

Well I went to store to pick these up an found they were scanning at £3.85 something.. so when queries they said yes they were scanning for 1p in morning today but there was some computer glitch and they were sorting it out.. so I had to put this down ;)

Am I missing something, I can't see the word 'halogen' in anywhere that article.

Bear in mind that these are only cheap in the short term. These use 50w, equivalent LED lights use 0.5w.

If you use these for your main lighting they will cost £150+ a year in electricity and need replacing every couple years. LEDs will cost you about a pound a year to run and last for 20 years.

These halogens will save you a couple quid today, but will cost you a fortune over the years!

I replaced all the halogens in my house with top-quality LEDs when I moved in which wasn't cheap, but they'd paid for themselves in saved electricity in about 10 months.

The technology has come on since I got mine, so I don't know what the best ones are at the moment.

I got mine from here though, so have a look: http://futureled.ie/

Still scanning in my store at 1p... I let the old couple buy them instead of something like "I'll have to check with my supervisor because they scanned 1p" etc.. lol

In what way? With the modern ones you would never know the difference.
