Hi Dinosteveus - is Sainsbury's not allowed? Sorry, I didn't know. Do I take it off?

They had a problem with their vouchers being abused online.
If it's not allowed a Moderator will remove it and let you know. It's NOT your fault.

Its a poor deal.... you can go to Ikea and get them for 99p per bulb.

Viva La sweden..... and their cheapo meatballs and hotdogs!

But this deal is £1.39 for 2, cheaper than 99p each!

Thought Genuine deals were ok, just voucher codes they objected to, surely genuine deals must be ok, its free advertising for them!

Philips Energy saver bulbs are 49p each (or maybe 69p actually) at Netto which includes 100w equivalent. They have been selling them at this price for months
#15
Those who are with British Gas, watcvh for a letter from them offering free bulbs and free delivery. Don't discard it!
#16
Of course no good for us Northern Ireland folk. Although we have Sainsbury stores, they don't deliver if buying online :(
#17
If you are with British Gas watch out for the letter offering free bulbs and delivery.

Does it arrive with the usual quarterly bill or on its own? :)

You're correct - 49p each :) (some are 47p dependant on wattage)

Years in fact!

I think the thread is misleading as it does not state delivery cost of £6 and minimum order value of £25

Are these available in store as well?

Avaiable in store - they certainly are- in my nearest they have like 10,000 of the things!!!! They're all over the place (then again it it is a very big store) I saw one guy buying about 50 of them - thats what made me a take a look. I would be quick if you want these as they had them for about 2 weeks now so i'd say promotion is due to end soon.

EDIT: my mistake just seen OP post -and the enddate

Just a note. I believe the enegy saving bulbs are no good for dimmer switches so if you buy an equivalent to 100w bulb be prepared to wear sunglasses indoors - even a 60w bulb is pretty bright as the light given out by these is 'different' to that of a traditional bulb. Personally I have 9w (~40w equivalent) bulbs at home, but the majority of deals always concern 60w or 100w bulbs.
#26
Netto is miles from me.
Does anyone else do Philips energy saving ones for 50p?

Whereabouts in London are you, as there are Nettos in Acton, Stamford Hill & Peckham?
#28
I checked, all too far.
#29
The free offer will arrive from British Gas soon. I got mine yesterday.

Are these the hideous looking bulbs, im all for saving the planet but why can't they make them look light bulb shape?

Just been to my local store and they had the ones which look like a proper light bulb on offer as well (more pricey at £2.99, BOGOF).
#32
British gas had a load of vouchers for free bulbs in all the london free papers, and local papers not so long ago. Sent of 2 vouchers and got 4 philips bulbs a week later, good price but is never going to be better than free!
#33
the osrams are 49 pence each at homebargains, i brought a load of them last month, they were still in the shops the other day. i need to grab a load more to be honest. they also had the gu10 bulbs ( halogen) packs of 2 for 99pence.

The GE eco mini stick bulbs are £1.37 in Tesco and throw out a lot more light than their equivalently powered full sized ones. They also get up to full power much quicker than any others I have and that includes a £4 bulb-shaped one!

These are actually 19p each in Tesco at the moment - seems a good price.
