I found this whilst I was looking for a high quality case for my 3GS, this model costs around £20 on the 3gs (not the TL - that's cheaper but made mainly of the silicone so more attracts dust e.t.c)

I cant find this at the price above anywhere else and also not here on the site already.

IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME WHAT ONE OF THE BEST CASES ARE FOR A 3GS? I want a good one, I'm Seriously thinking of the Otterbox Commuter...Good choice?

I've tried a few and have settled on the Speck Candycase for my 3GS.

However, can be had much cheaper on Ebay. It's rugged, with a cushioned interior, fits the phone like a glove. Although it makes it a little larger, I actually like the feel of it with the case. I also like that the case sits higher than the screen, so if the phone is face down on the table, the screen won't scratch.

dont really see the point of these tacky cases. Why spend £400 on a phone and then stick a tacky plastic case over the holy glass and steel case. Isnt that what all apple sheep are attracted to the general look of the iphone. Just get a slip case if u need one.

Remember Glass half empty.

I'm quite new to apple (in terms of phones), and bought it not due to the "look" but the quality of the item and the great customer service they offer.

The reason I personally want a good case is to keep it in the condition I bought it as generally these phones hold there value for when you want to sell it?

Any more comments you wish to share i will be happy to respond,

BTW those "slip on cases" are awful! dirts and dust gets in and gets trapped thus ruining your ipod/iphone.

I had this case an whilst it offers great protection, I felt that it was too bulky and totally destroyed the look of the iPhone. Good price though as I paid over £20 for mine, needless to say its back in its box!

I've not noticed any issues with dust ingress - it fits very snugly indeed, and it's not the sort of case you'll slip on and off. It covers the buttons too, so prevents dust ingress to the phone itself. The only negative is that the hard plastic shell does pick up the odd scratch, but that's kind of the point anyway. My phone is immaculate and has not picked up a mark. It gets lots of positive comments too, and does not detract (in my opinion) from the looks of the iphone at all. The very first time you picked up a scratch on your iphone (or dropped it) without protection, you'd regret not having a case, so it's cheap insurance.

Think it's as ever all down to personal preference. I can totally understand why some people would not put anything on their phone but also appreciate that an item worth £500 needs to be looked after. Just this case for me was a bit too much....

Indeed, I agree it does seem a shame to cover it however i would rather that than ruin it!

But I do see you point!

Dropping it is not an option if not protected!

I got an Otterbox cover for my Nokia E72 and I think it was about £20 so the price looks hot.

I like the (E72) case as it provides real protection without significantly increasing the size of the phone. (That's the Commuter one not the Defender one, by the way.) It almost looks as if it's part of the phone.

This looks proper bulky and ugly. I have owned many iPhone 4 case/bumpers before and the best case in my opinion is the Gear4 IceBox Edge. Excellent build quality and it protects the back, sides, volume buttons and power button. Not to mention it is really slim and fits perfectly.

Agreed. It protects but you would be hard pushed to recognise the phone!
