Quirky-looking and cleverly designed, the Otto desk is a desk and a cabinet rolled into one. Open the cream-coloured, lacquered exterior to reveal a bright teal-coloured, asymmetric interior that holds your desktop computer, but works well as a writing desk.

The legs are made from solid wood ash veneer with clear lacquer finish, while the front panels have a neutral lacquer finish.

You'll either love this or hate it - it's a very personal thing. Also self-assembly, and a b*****d to put together.

Genuinely reduced from £399, but whether it was ever worth that - or £199 for that matter - you decide............

It's a deal, old chap, because to some people who have - shall we say - tastes that differ from your own, it's a good price for an interesting piece of furniture.

Some will agree, some won't - that's life, and I don't much care whether you like it or not. I'm not selling it - that's for John Lewis to do. I'm just passing on info - and that includes the assembly comment! :whistling:

Is it self-assembly? Not sure I want to tackle it after the Otto debacle if it is. However, if it comes ready assembled...........................
