Video Talk & Text 700:
* 800 anytime any network 1st 3 mths ** then 400 per month **
* 500 SMS, 25 MMS or video messages 1st 3 mths ** then 250 SMS, 25 MMS or video messages per month **

I picked this very same deal up from The Link several months ago and can vouch for the brilliant phone.

PS: with a trade-in you can also get £10 back bringing term cost down to £15, but you may be better off selling your old handset elsewhere for more.

Hi Is phone locked or unlocked? Can I use 3 sim card to my other unlocked phone? Is it free to call 0845, 0870 numbers? Thanks a lot.

Id say... Locked, dunno and no. :D
#6
They are locked if your other phone will take a 3 sim it'll be ok 0845 and 0870 numbers are not free.

If it is a 3g phone, then yes, I think it probably will be locked, I don't think 3 have the best rep. for unlocking them

Too bad its out of stock, but I'd expect them to be available again next month about this same time - this seems to be a pattern The Link often follow.

The N70 is locked to three (as are all Symbian 3G Nokia phones) and can currently *only* be unlocked by three. Going by the condition of my refurb'd N70, I'd expect these to be almost brand new.

Also, you can get cheap 512Mb or 1Gb memory cards for these from 7dayshop. You can also download lots of free apps online, just google for symbian.

Back in stock (as of 10am) - that was quick wasn't it :)
#15
Get it while it's hot!!!
#16
interesting... it's now moved to the top of TheLink's clearance page!
and was still in stock 30 minutes ago.

I'm seriously tempted, but been reading various forums on the problems of unlocking. 3 network charge a fortune if still within the contract. Looks like a reflash needed.
I've had 2 other refurbished phones from TheLink, both as good as new, no problems so far. And the Quidco bonus always came through.

good posting.

im not really sure how this works.

Hello jonnygrunter - This question has been asked many times before, so don't worry.
(MODS - Is there any chance of getting a Sticky in the Misc forum about CashBack deals perhaps for new-comers to this kind of thing - Unless there already is one?)

Welcome to HUKD first of all :)

You pay the normal monthly fees to the network - in this case 3, and you claim 'cashback', either in cheque format or might get paid directly into your bank account, at regular intervals by sending off a voucher and one or more of your bills to the company you bought from, in this case, The Link.
That's pretty much all there is to it, but obviously there are more details involved.

I hope that helps.

I think duckmagicuk2 could shed some light on this?

PS This is Out of Stock now.

gary_rip - I know a detailed post about this had been done in one of the July Mobile Phone deals, not sure which one, I guess if it could be found we could just grab it and pop that into the Misc thread.

are you sure reflashing can in effect unlock these kind of phone. i doubt it very much. please correct me if i am wrong.

I've unlocked some phones by code before, but I've read that this won't fully unlock a 3 network phone because it won't unlock the 3G scan, so can't use 2G sims.
I was trying to say that a cable solution and a full reset to factory software may work. At least I hope it does, as that's what I intend to do when the offer comes up again. But 3G phones are a new area to me :-o so I'll do a bit more looking online...

Only the network can unlock 3G Nokia phones.
