Heat and rep added. :-)
Just had a quick look at the tents.... there is actually some very good deals.
Excellent first deal BigAl, heat and rep to you.
Will pop down to the store, hadn't realised they had one in Bristol
There are some pretty good bargains on there. Hot deal. However, please be aware that mountainwarehouse are one of those traders who always seem to have at least some money knocked off the supposed rrp of their prices. Considering they mainly sell their own brand it's difficult to know if much of the stock was ever worth the rrp.

One example would be their parallel ski socks. They have an rrp of £13.99. However they are a blend of thermolite and acrylic. Most other brands sell merino wool ski socks for £14.

Saying that I've had a good lock at their backpacks in store and they all have pretty good specs.
Just visited shop in Covent Garden and got some Sallopetes for £16.99!

Hey now that is a bargain - Sellotape (R) is usually much more......:whistling:
one thing i noticed was that the original labels on some of their stock don't always tie in with the claim on their own pricing labels.

i was looking at a rucksack which their price tag claims was £49.99 - reduced to £25.99.

However on the rucksack was an original price tag showing the full price was £29.99.

it looks very much like an 'officers club'; style store, who have a permanent sale on products which are brands you've never heard of before, so I'd guess all their stuff is selling for the price it is worth and the original rrp's are inflated.
Tried half a dozen reduced items. All out of stock.
The general camping gear is probably ok for festival weekends, rather than serious hiking. I guess that the clothing is probably not designed for outdoor use either.
Good site, hot
More and more of these places are starting to get my goat. Been in a few and seen many more online all claiming to provide full on high tech clothing suitable for mountain use or any other rough terrian then you look at all their garments and they are Cotton, Cotton Mix or Polyester! Christ cotton is not in no way worn in those situations and polyester tops can be picked up from anywhere for peanuts so why pay through the nose. I'm lost for words.
