We've had a couple of these for ages; they last really well.(probably due to the fact that it is rarely sunny!) If it is ever sunny we hang them between two birch trees. We find the secret to getting is to sit on the edge then slide your way in. you can just fall out once you've drunk that wine/lager/cider etc

Hm, I need 2 trees.

I have two clothes poles?? Always fancied one of these. Sadly no trees.

I just tried calling Lidl in Farnham to find out if they have this in stock, the call went through to Customer Services who advised they cannot check stock levels in store. I asked if I can phone the store directly, they advised I can't, so there is no way to check stock. She then said that this Hammock is not out yet, only available from Thursday 17 July, has anyone bought one of these already at this price?

No will have bought one because as the title and customer services says available from 17th July.

Strange about not checking stock though, my lidl store always advises this.

I've been to lidl before when they were selling hard drives, the store had 2 in stock at the beginning of the day so the first guy in the queue got them, that was 2 for the entire store, and they don't tell you in advance

Any advice on how best to hang these, as they just have loops on the ends? ideally without any trees, ie. anywhere to get a cheap stand?? thanks

as littlejohn says above "dig in in 2 4x4 timbers. works a treat."

you can buy post cement from B & Q for a fiver and set up the posts 3.2 Mtrs apart, and hang from them. That is what I am planning to do
