There are only 9 items there, and most of them only have 1 in stock... very limited chance of actually getting anything.... and they suggested hard drives etc... none there.. :( Disappointing.

It says on the page they will have been taken out of packaging for photographs etc... I am guessing that is ex-display?

looks like they increased some of their prices at 11 o'clock too- the cheapest revo r3700 is now £229- it was £202 this morning
#6
Also looks like they only let the prices fall to a certain level and then withdraw them - there was a laptop with a quantity of three just now and suddenly it disappeared.

I was watching them too - i was waiting until one sold and then was going to buy - but the price stopped falling and they all disapeared. Its a scam.

I was also watching them. After it went to sold out it came back very breifly saying quantity 4 but then quickly went back to sold out. Maybe its just one person buying a lot to sell on.

Not a scam guys - I just landed the "Ebuyer Extra Value Laptop, Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz, 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD, 15.4" TFT, DVD±RW, Webcam, Windows 7 Home Premium" for £203.93 8)

Order confirmed and payment taken so I hope that they will not cancel it on me. oO

Think that I may have been first to blink and once the stock dropped from 3 to 2 everybody lept on the remaining ones.

Yeah i spotted that too - but if they sold once, where did the 4 come from? Besides - they are supposed to drop every 5 mins and they stopped dropping. You could be right about one person buying em all though - but i do think they had no intention of lowering them any further.

Anyway - ex display for an online retailer - we are saying that its means its been removed from box to photograph? Would they open 7 of the same item to photograph? No - so they are probably returns = second hand.

nice way of attracting people to stay on a page to watch goods disapear right before your eyes... be it a sold item or them removing it. (I guess they should leave them on but say "now sold")

I could have bought at that price and so could everyone else - the scam is that it stopped dropping.

Seems good price though still, i just wanted something below £200, so was almost there. Wouldn't pay much more for a none- branded pc - but with w7 on it defo worth the money. They won't cancel - you paid what they wanted.

Please note that our open-box (used) stock is sold with 90 calendar days warranty only, and therefore any claims under the warranty after 90 days of receipt will not be accepted.

How much is that worth? Considering it's only got 90 day warranty?

Thought I had purchased a 19" LCD HD tele, had put it in basket, then it said I needed to login or register, registered and went to basket tele no longer there. Rang them up and they said they sold it to someone else whilst I was registering! Moral of the story - create an account first, However, prices dropping every 5 mins is also a myth.

Ebuyer is a reputable outfit in my experience. Dont think they are out to con anybody, l just think the promotion could have been better planned and implemented on this occasion. The deals aren't that great IMHO. Mind you, the 60GB creative vision:M on offer may be a bit out of date now but is a fine media player - still better than an ipod.

Thanks, I got it at that price lol!!

I'm not that up on pc's at the moment, I fancied a surround vision jobby with an ati 5xxx or 6xxx card, I don't think Nvidia have the eyefinity type stuff on their cards? There's a free software version I might try for a laugh, works if you have 2 gfx cards I think. Either way, seemed a decent price to me, it'll either break straight away or last for years!!!

Quick tip for anyone, put what you want in the basket and refresh the page so you can see the web page price and the basket price in the top right corner at the same time. When I was doing it the basket price dropped about a minute before the web page price.

Well, what a fricking waste of time that was!!! Only just got time to turn the pc on, and it fails within less than 5 minutes!!! Ebuyer say they won't bother repairing it if there's something wrong like the motherboard as it's not worth their time. So I'll get a refund. They also said that I should have expected to receive a faulty item because it was "ex-display". Why I should expect to receive a faulty item is beyond me!
