TheOutnet.com is marking its first anniversary with a £1 pop-up sale. Yes, designer items for £1. Thousands of products will be on sale, and all you need to do to gain entry is register at theoutnet.com and RSVP before 11 April. One lucky person will also win a golden ticket and shop the sale before anyone else (but before you worry that they will clear the lot, there's a five piece limit).

Has anybody actually had the email, and been able to get in to buy anything??

Anybody get the feeling this is a bit of a con to promote the website - can't look at any of the items allegedly being sold for £1!!

Yep i got the email, to two different email accounts but no good, you could only access the sale from the email link, but everythings sold out now, and I couldn't get on the site from the time it opened!

it was pointless even if you could get into the sale, the pages were taking 5 minutes each to load and by the time they did, the item was sold out. If you managed to add anything to your cart, by the time you got to checkout it was already gone. The site was full of errors, crashing continuously and you had to refresh constantly to even get pages to load. Me and my bf were both on it from the start till the time it closed and didnt manage to sucessfully purchase a thing. Utter waste of time and a complete shambles.

i got sent a free delivery code as an apology for not being able to get anything in the sale, like that makes up for not being able to get something that is worth hundreds of pounds  i thought the whole point in it being invite only was that everyone who got a confirmation invite would be able to buy 1 item for a pound :?

This was a fake promotion!!!! Link provided to people registered on guest list was just link to normal web not to any sales. The only thing through this link was web with full priced items at 7.25am and a minute later the link was just showing big logo of company with text" sorry our web is not working".It was showing this logo for 3 hours.
Company just wanted to have advertisement-that is it.
I hope this company will disappear . It scam company and crook.I was calling the company-they refused to give me more info and got very interested when I said"fake promotion". Company does not want to answer this question:why the link they sent me as an invite was fake...
Dodgy, dodgy business... dirty business... More-they said "we know people will stop buying from us". What was the point doing promotion without promotion. Getting people angry I guess and make them stop buying...
