They started their black friday deals yesterday, with the average reduction of about 5%, a total let down to say the least. Hopefully they'll have some actual offers on Black Friday though!

Also, you didn't actually post a deal, so wrong section?

They have the Asus PG348Q reduced by 24%, which makes it just £3 more expensive than the usual price Amazon. I think that is the general take-away from their "black friday" sales...

Oh look crappy 'gaming' chairs, they must have a warehouse full gathering dust :p

last years 'sale' was lacklustre too.

RAM & mobos are cheap as chips (ha!) pretty much anywhere atm. Do u need stuff before Xmas? Otherwise wait for Jan sales (yeah I know, obvious LOL)....;)

Black Friday deals. .. more like Jack the prices up Friday.

wow 2-5% off a load off over priced things as they put prices up by over 5% as all shops do and them discount thus making same profit.
#16
Yes I need before xmas unfortunately! Well the processor at least, I could hold out for the graphics card
#17
Maybe ha ha!

Ignore these ridiculously tame "black friday" sales that have started over a week before Black Friday - wait for the actual Black Friday, November 25th, I am sure you will find better offers than what is currently available.

However for the most popular items such as intel 6500/6600/6700 and nvidia 1060/1070/1080 and AMD 460/470/480 I would not expect more than MAYBE 20% off the best prices we have seen so far, but I would love to be wrong about that! :)

Ok ok! Maybe they'll surprise us next Friday with a half price GTX1080 ;-) here's hoping... and erm... dreaming

I was going to post this myself but couldn't find anything to really start with as an example, but heat added.

The processors are unlikely to fluctuate too much. All the popular intel ones sell well and sell fast. If you can wait 6 weeks and were looking to pick up a skylake processor e.g. i5-6600k or i7 6700k, then you can probably save £20-30 as long as the pound doesn't drop much on Jan 5th. Alternatively you can pick up the new Kaby Lake ones at around the current prices but they'll be 5-10% faster. Mobo's will follow the cpu prices if you were looking at newer boards e.g. Z170's. They won't have decent drops until Jan when Z270's come out. I did just notice you need before Christmas though which is a shame.

Black Friday's don't discount much on "new items" which generally means this year's stuff. As the GTX 1060 is this year, don't expect more than 10-20% or so off. However, if you are not too fussy on brand you may be able to pick a 6GB version one for sub £200 (currently around the £250 mark).

RAM is always easy to find and you can pick up 16GB DDR4 ram under £80. You may be able to get that nearer £50 if you aren't too concerned about MHZ or brand name - there are currently crucial sticks going at that price.

Generally though, if you are looking for computer parts, the best deals are on monitors, hard drives, cases, power supplies, RAM and peripherals e.g. mice, keyboards, headsets. The big stuff only see decent drops when newer versions come out.

Hi Terraheart, thank you so much for all the info you posted, it is very informative and I really appreciate you taking the time out to post this. I've gone ahead and purchased an i7 6700k processor plus motherboard soooooo I'm half way there :-)

Ohhhhh god my first post went well didn't it. Better luck next time I guess. Saying that though, I've gathered some good and well, mainly bad feedback, the comments are informative though and I've soaked up some useful information from you all. Sub zero or not ha ha. A completely new market place for me !

Don't let a low temperature keep you from posting deals, Overclockers DID have a couple of cheap items (which have since gotten their own separate posts and gone hot). I don't exactly have a good track record myself with posting deals, and sometimes the temperature you get does not even reflect whether it actually IS a good (at the time cheapest) deal :p
