The Oswald Maximum Security Prison has opened an experimental new ward reserved for especially dangerous criminals. This unit, Emerald City, focuses on rehabilitation, but the world inside is even more corrupt and violent than the mean streets where these inmates come from. Inside the walls there are also two sets of rules, those laid down by the warden and those understood by the racially divided prisoners.

This HBO series, full of gritty and violent imagery, deftly handles some sensitive issues of the American justice system. This collection gathers together the first six seasons of the show, which has proved to be one of the most popular and long-running dramas in HBO's history.

Brilliant series, very violent though. Wish they'd kept it going. As far removed from Prison Break as it gets.
My favourite TV series ever, great find. Heat added :)
Watched Episode One on You tube and thought it was good, would like to get the box set but not sure i can justify £50 right now!
far superior to prison break and well worth £50
Really wish I could justify £50 on a boxset... used to like this show when i caught it a few times on TV years ago.
brilliant show, if anybody wants a genuine very good condition boxset gimme a shout
Cracking show. I bought this for about the same from HMV a while back, £46 i think, but haven't seen it close since. Works out at less than £9 a series, which can't be bad.

how much
£35 delivered mate
Cracking series, although I thought season 6 did go a little over the top at times, funny how many of the actors ended up in The Wire as well - almost a cameo per episode it felt like at one point.

Well worth a watch, think all seasons bar 1 are only 6 episodes each so won't take a lifetime to watch either.
Series two and three are eight episodes each, series four is sixteen episodes.
I'd recommend buying individual series rather than a box set unless you are 100% sure you want to watch them all. I found that by the time I got to S4 the plotlines were becoming too repetitious and unbelievable.
All 8 episodes apart from season 4 which was 16.
Brilliant show, it got quite silly from series 4 onwards, but it was still quite enjoyable, it probably isn't worth investing in the Region 2 boxset as it's quite heavily cut apparently.

Hang on; You are morraly committed to watching this on you tube and you cant justify the £50.

Three words.......The Pirate Bay.
I thought prison break series one was in the same class but after that went downhill.
I saw OZ S 1 - 6 last year and while still a very strong series I felt that it had dated a bit simply because of how long ago it was made. This was early HBO and pre Soprano stuff (in fact wasnt Mrs Soprano in series 1 and 2 as a guard).

What I would say is that Oz was brilliant at creating some first class villians and when you got so many bad boys in one place the way they continually created new plots and storylines was great. If you havent seen it its worth watching but if I was spending £50 today it would be on Dexter 1-4 instead.
Oz is not for the those with a weak stomach, brutal at times but well worth a viewing
Outstanding show, but as usual was shown at a stupid time in the UK (1am I seem to recall sometimes) so loads of people missed it. Loads of actors in it that will be familiar from The Wire, Sopranos, Dexter, Lost... probably more. Cannot recommend this show enough.
