Great way to grab a few goodies for Christmas

Departure after 8.45am and return before 7.45pm

Car and up to nine people
£17 for an afternoon trip, must depart after midday and return before midnight,
Available seven days a week.

£19 depart and return the same day, Sunday to Friday
£29 on Saturday

Travel by car and receive a free bottle of wine, you will be given a voucher when you check in, must be collected on the outward journey

NOTE : The link refers to cutting a voucher out of the newspaper to claim your bottle of wine, but the newspaper doesn't contain a voucher and states that the voucher will be given to you when you check in. Heading over on Tuesday so will update about the voucher, and just how bad the free wine is.

Can be booked from now untill the 20th of November
Travel dates from now right up to December the 31st

There is also a coupon available in the Tunbridge Wells on Saturday, free newspaper. This will allow you to purchase two 24 X 500ml packs of Shepard Neame Spitfire Ale for £24 on the ferry (must be used in conjunction with this offer)

Hope this helps a few of you stock up on some French goodies for Christmas.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/495651/p-o-day-trip-plus-bogof-meal-plus-6

Went last week on this

£24.00 return went 9am crossing and came back 4pm so peak times
6 bottles of wine - Gallo seal winemakers - nice red (not the best but paid good money fo a lot worse)
buy one get one free on meals on way over

hot - don't drink wine and the food on board is expensive - we're so mean we take a picnic! The staff in the onboard shop take your crates of beer down to your car for you .

I did see the other deal but posted this as it is cheaper, available to foot passengers, and you can travel up to the end of December.

It just depends on how you value the Gallo wine, if you use the other deal you effectively pay £1.80 a bottle. You can pick it up for £2 so the other deal will save you £1, if you were planning on buying some.

This deal which should have expired is still running

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/519625/p-o-day-trip-dover-to-calais-1-foot

It will save you an additional £2

Food is not expensive with bogof

£7.99 for full breakfast so works out £3.98 each

It just depends on how you value the Gallo wine, if you use the other deal you effectively pay £1.40 a bottle. You can pick it up for £2.49 so the other deal will save you just over £5, if you were planning on buying some

like to know where its £2.49 a bottle, post it up that would be a good hot deal, best ive ever seen this wine is on the 3 for £10 deals

Used this deal myself yesterday, the free wine voucher was attached to my boarding pass
I could choose any of the J.P Chenet varities

Sorry jonnye, I posted an incorrect price for the Gallo wine. It can actually be purchased for £2 a bottle if you buy 3 bottles at oddbins Calais.

Thanks for pointing out the dailymail deal chalkysoil, it should have ended but is still running. I've posted it as a deal so others out there can make use of it, and given you some rep

Looks like a great deal, I'll try it this weekend. and update.

The way the pound is at the moment it is far cheaper just to go to Asda/Tesco/Morrisons, etc, than buying abroad. I would not bother with this offer as it is a waste of time.

I'd be very keen to know where you can find a bottle of Lindauer Brut in the UK for £4.29 a bottle.

It's mostly the difference in duty which allows for such big savings in France. A cheap bottle of wine sold here will have about £1.45 worth of duty added to the price, the same bottle in France will only have about 4p added.

Among other things you'll also find cheeses are about 25-50% cheaper.

Keep in mind anything imported into the UK was purchased with the pound, ie the drop in euro/pound means these items are already more expensive here. It's only the difference in taxes/duty and transport costs that makes things relatively cheaper or more expensive.

Also you can currently get this deal £2 cheaper here

It should have expired already but is still booking up to the end of December

I can buy a big block of cheese from my Asda for £2.00 so why would I want to go to France to buy it?
#14
Good point, I suppose there are those out there who prefer the scenery of an ASDA store to that of the french countryside. I'll make sure I pop into an ASDA next time I'm in Glasgow, they must be much nicer than the ones we have down here.

You'd probably only be dissapointed anyway, chances are the product that ASDA sells as "cheese" would be illegal to sell in France

Well maybe once you learn to spell correctly you can come and visit the countryside around Glasgow. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Can someone please tell me how to book the £3 foot passenger fare? I tried the link but it ended up like £46 each way!
Many thanks

Wow, I wasn't aware there was now a spelling test to enter Scotland, or is it just Glasgow ?

I assume the population is now dropping at a pretty extreme rate

Must be pretty upsetting arriving back after an AI holiday in Malaga, only to find you're not allowed back in

I am a little confused! I thought that Hot Deals was a great website, there to help out people with great deals..... like this one!!!

I love a bit of wine and cheese and what's better than taking a trip to France to get some. Nice day out.... nice scenery, bit different, what more can you ask for!

What's the deal with Cambourne03 though.... why are you so negative? You have never posted a deal... all you have done is put negative comments on other peoples! GET A LIFE! If you don't like something then just accept it and move on... you really do not need to share your obvious bitterness with us. (maybe though you could share it with your £2 ASDA cheese:w00t: )

I think this deal is great and will definately be taking a day trip:-D

'Sorry, prices for your selected date are not yet available online. Please phone our call centre for more information' I am just looking for a day trip to france any day in December. Can you please print screen the booking for me?

I can only suggest that you have entered some incorrect details, double check the promo code is entered, the ferry times fall within the guidelines, and you are sailing Sunday to Thursday.

Have checked both links with various sailings and they all seem to go through fine.

Sorry I can't help more
