I love the way the dutch word 'k u n t' , which means 'can', has been censored.

hey,
I got this email too and when i go to book a trip, I keep getting a message saying 'Sorry, prices for your selected date are not yet available online. Please phone our call centre for more information. '
I have tried lots of different dates and times but the most annoying thing is if i keep travel details the same and just remove the promotional code, i get whole lists of crossings!

anyone havingh the same problem or is anyone getting an actual bookable result using this code, if so can you tell me travel tiomes so i can see if it works for me?

The links do work, it is just that you are getting what passes for a "busy signal" from P&O. As you can imagine, this is likely to be quite popular.

My thought would be for you to try again when everyone else is in bed. :)

Hi - just bang booze and Calais into your favourite search engine and you will be spoilt for choice. If you want UK supermarkets at French prices, both Tesco and Sainsbury have booze-zoos in Calais and there are quite a few French Supermarkets to choose from - Continent, Carrefour, LeClerc, Auchan - all within easy reach of the port.

Watch the exchange rates though. Ferry Terminals are bad news, in my experience, for changing cash into Euro. The Ferry has been the best. If you go to the UK owned (not UK supermarket owned) booze shops, it pays to check the rates they offer for paying with plastic. You may be able to get a good rate and pay in Pounds or even with Pound notes. Most of the supermarkets will let you pay in Pounds or Euro on your plastic but make sure you know what the relevant charges are (if any) that are levied by your plastic issuer. If you have a good plastic issuer, like Nationwide, it's best to pay in Euro BUT that's just my experience. Get the payment method wrong and it can easily add 5+% to your payments.

Sorry if that's all a bit convoluted but payment is an essential part of the trip and it's a bit of a minefield.

Hope that helps - let me know if it doesn't:whistling:

I have booked France for the 27th Nov,it had the promotional code in the box ( Iclicked on the link) I have got the conformation email, but it dont say anything about the 6 bottles of wine or bogof breakfast.
Anybody had different?
Or will I get a voucher or something when I get to the ferry terminal?
Thanks,Katie.

P&O know that this isn't exactly obvious on the site and so they put it into the email they sent out and I have included that information in my description - you get the vouchers when you check in.

Personal experience confirms that this actually works as I have used this deal before.

But it is always advisable to check your mirror hanger and whatever paper work they give you at check-in. They have been known to forget! Just check you have the wine voucher and the BOGOF meal voucher. If its like all the previous offers you have to get the wine on the way out. Dover Calais.:whistling:

Hi,
Although marked as expired, I still managed to book at £24.00 using the link in the first post.
Will be interesting to see if I still manage to get the voucher for the wine.

Where abouts in your email did it say about the wine?

This offer was due to expire on the 12/11 however I booked on the 22/11 and went today and got the voucher for 6 bottles of wine at check in.

Appears offer is still active!
