saying that there dimmable is not a feature of a halogen bulb, why would anyone pay this to use 50 watts when you can buy led bulbs for the same price, use less electric and not have to mess about changing them half as often.
#2
don't buy halogen crap
#3
this is not a bargain. Halogen bulbs are so inefficient they should be banned. Buy some decent LED bulbs and save in the long run.
#4
plus all halogen bulbs are dimmable so it's not a sales 'feature'
#5
lol. it's going to cost a lot more than £10 for 750 watts.

so you equate more watts less money = good

You can get LEDs for this price. I'm out!
Halogen: Expensive to run, gives off loads of heat (possible fire risk), Blow (fairly) frequently - and when they do, trip out all the lights in the house.
Inconvenient to keep changing bulbs.

LED: Cheap to run, much cooler than halogen bulbs, usually last much longer than halogen equivelents.

Agree. Any brand recommendations for decent non flickering dimmable led bulbs with good colour and light output?

try screwfix, as far as I know their returns policy is good.

Another vote for screwfix, their 345 and 346 lumen cool white (usally branded LAP) are the same as 50w halogen. They do 3 versions..
Warm white = warmer than a 50w halogen
Cool white = same as halogen 50w
Daylight = crisp daylight white

Screwfix have them on offer at the moment. Bought mine right of the counter. Check back a few days and I think someone posted it again anyway. Was £7.50 for 5 or 6 dimmable LED. Brilliant price.

I highly recommend Ikea for their LEDs
