Interesting...I was looking at buying some pillows very recently, and noticed these for £15 on the Debenhams site. I would have bought them, but the reviews on the site said they were very poor pillows. I notice the reviews are not there anymore!

Very cheeky of Debenhams.

Here is a link to the google cache of the reviews:

Worst pillows ever "I have to agree with the reviews I have read as these pillows really are rubbish. I feel like I am sleeping on limp / lumpy cotton wool.
Fogarty get your act together and Debenhams, not the sort of 'quality' I would expect from such a reputable store. Unfortunately I bought x 2 packs, so I am £50.00 out of pocket AND I am now left with no choice but to replace them. I will be exploring refund options as definitely not got the product that was described, so much so, that if I could have voted 0 I would have done. Shoddy indeed !"

Review 2 for Pack of four 'back to shape' pillows

Very disappointed "I have just received my four pack of pillows, they are not worth the money. I expected to receive a quality pack of comfortable pillows, when I have received a pack of four limp, flat, uncomfortable pillows. Do not waste your money they are certainly not worth £25.00, and of course they are unreturnable once you have opened the packet. I will be writing to Fogarty with my comments."

Waste of Money!!! "I have just bought these pillows at the recent Mega Day. They certainly don't do what they say on the packet. They feel cheap and I agree with the other reviews, definitely not worth the money and I also would have been very upset if I had paid the original ticket price of £50. I am so disappointed with this product Fogarty!! When you lay on them it feels like the filling is in clumps!! Don't waste your money."

Worst pillows ever "Bought these pillows today, they might have a special fibre filling, but there's not much of it! Do yourself a favour, buy one of the more expensive pillows - these are not even worth half price."

You know, I thought I had read those reviews before and thought it must be me going mad!!

Well done for finding that! Wouldn't have thought Debenhams would have been so sneaky......will remember that in future when buying from them.

DO NOT BUY!
I bought these last time they were on here and they were hopeless - too soft and went lumpy!
#17
Oh wow at the reviews, was gonna buy these as well! Thanks for saving me the money!
#18

Thing is, you won't know they are no good until you have slept on them for a few nights and they have gone flat......and you can't take them back then. These reviews save you the time and money involved.
#20
Got some of these a few months back, last time they were on offer, they're hopelessly thin and you need two of them to fill a pillowcase - not good value at all :(
#21
Thanks for the 'heads up ' (_;) everyone, I was very close to buying before reading the comments above, thanks very much for sharing your bad experiences and saving many of us the same thing - real money saving advice!

Of course you can take them back.
"Not fit for purpose" is the expression to use. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn219/jumpingphil/thumbsup.gif

Technically yes, but they well argue that 'bounce back' is subjective. How do you measure it?

Better ask Ian Dowie...

i bought these for £25 a few weeks ago, they are the worst pillows i have ever used, yes they do plump back into shape after use but you need atleast 3 for decent support, would not recommend these pillows

I can't believe what a bunch of sneaky t*%sers this company is! Removing bad reviews and keeping up good ones. Is that even legal? Terrible company with a terrible attitude. No wonder they're so far behind John Lewis. No morals at all!
#30
Can anybody recommend a decent pillow? Had one of those with a bit of the memory foam (not full memory foam AND its a Silent Night, quite possibly the poorest make - but hey it was cheap in Tesco last year!) in it and has been very good for a year or so (just like their beds, avoid), but now just gives me a sore neck.

I've always found John Lewis own brand Cluster Fibre or Hollowfibre pillows to be very comfortable.

Saying that, I actually bought these from Debenhams recently, after my JL pillows were getting a bit lumpy (after nearly 10 years!):

They are both comfortable (I'd say a medium for comfort), however the cheaper pair (£6 before any discount codes) I find are a bit softer.

How on earth did you get pillows to last 10 years??? How often did you wash them? Most of them are never the same again after washing so I just replace mine every year instead.

Get some pillow protectors....you can get packs of 4 in places like Poundland! That way you won't have to wash them as often...and therefore less chance of lumpiness! I do recall the pillows cost me what I thought was quite a bit of money at the time....but it was worth it.

I do use pillow protectors but all the sweat and dead flakes if skin will still go through the protectors as it's just material like your pillow case. Would rather just replace them as the thought of all that sweat in my pillows makes me feel sick :|

Also use 2 pillowcases....especially good for dribblers! ;)
