I don't undestand the need for dishwasher cleaner.
When it washes my dishes the washer gets washed at the same time....innit?oO

I guess you could say the same about when you have a bath

two weeks ago they where on offer at £5.00, last week reduced to £2.50 I enquired if price was price was correct, it was so bought 2 packs.

Seem they have reduced them again this week to £1.25 so will buy if any at my local store this weekend as they don't have a use by date.

Still £2.50 at my local store :(

Indeed. It's just scaremongering advertising. You never knew you needed it until the glossy ads persuaded you you did...

Worth it for the fresheners! I got 3 packs @ 2.50 each.
each freshner was normally £2 on the shelf.
Cleaners are more of a type of degreaser I think. For the price really can't go wrong!

Dishwashers don't need "degreasing" - if they did, they'd leave grease all over your plates, wouldn't they? It's pure marketing - but if you want to flush money down the drain...!

So in that train of thought, you must never clean your bath, shower or kitchen sink? Cleaning the dishwasher is routine maintenance, in the same way as you're supposed to run a washer on maintenenace every so often (constant 40 degree washes does it no good). Bits of food, grease & soap scum get into the corners, round the door, its a breeding ground for bacteria.
You could alway use a cup of white vinegar on the top shelf and run it on a hot cycle which has a similar effect but for £1.25 (even £2.50 at its previous price) for 2 fresheners & 2 cleaning bottles its not worth it.

Does your dishwasher have a tide mark around it after you use it?

This stuff does seem to work, after a while the dishwasher does struggle to clean the plates properly and at this price amazing value, definitely an improvement on the cleanliness of the plates after using cleaning solution.

Anyway nothing like a bargain so got a good few packs.
