Lucky and nice find - chances of my local having these are very low but if I am near my local one I will have a look. :-D

Edit : How much stock was there at your local store? And which section where they in (stupid question I know but its Poundland and they put their stock anywhere they can find in my local one)

great pens,great price-heat added.

There were maybe 10-15 packs of them, hung up near the bit that has the camera cases, earphones, usb cables and stuff like that.... nowhere near the rest of the stationary! Maybe that's just that store though...

these are regularly available in home bargain for anyone who doesn't live near a poundland. Also asda are currently selling the 5 packs on 2 for £3 not as good a deal, but ok if asda is more accessible to you.

Good info, juiceblaster. I miss not living near a Home Bargains anymore

Crap scratchy-writing fibre tip pens.

I can't see their appeal. It seems having David Beckham in the adverts has worked a treat ( or maybe not seeing as they are appearing in the pound shops and discount chains)

One of the few 'permanent' markers that does what it says, marks permanently and writes on just about any surface and is waterproof.

If you just need a writing instrument then use a regular pen, if you need to indelibly identify parts or you need to write down information that it is crucial doesn't get washed away then these are ideal.

Normally over-priced in the UK, great find. Thanks.

Even for standard permanent markers 5 for £1 is a good deal. My other favourites being Wilkinsons permanent makers @ 10p each

I was dubious at first too, branded permanent markers, who needs that! But I tried one, and it really does write on everything! (everything I've tried anyway)

Have them in Poundland in Rugby too. Also have assorted colours (i.e. 2 blue, 1 red & 2 black) packs. They have been in there for 6 months or so. Regularly re-stock them. Have the 'professional'? ones with the double ended tip (fine and medium) too - single.

These have been a constant stock in Poundland for the last six months!! :D Heat added anyway.

That's ridiculous - why vote cold just because YOU steal them from your work place, unless we can all pop by your place of work and you hand them out to us then your a bit of a muppet!

None in my local one. I asked one of the staff if they sell Sharpie pens or if they had any in stock. As expected he didn't know s*** and was totally clueless. Typical poundland staff.
