I'm not so sure heading to greece at the moment is the wisest decision ...

Agreed! shame though as its cheap, but we would have to brave the riots and volcanic ash issues.
#3
not the best time to go though at mo

If I were in a position to go the riots wouldn't bother me at all. Still a safer place to go than many countries in the world even during its recent "issues". Good find.

Santorini is one lovely lovely place. Spent 3 months there in my junior years when i backpacked around Europe.

Anyone who gets a chance should visit there ;-)

everyone should go, it will be a riot! :whistling:

If they cancel Flights in/Out again due to Strikes, Travel Insurance won't cover you as anybody booking now would be aware of civil service strikes ie Air traffic Control and civil unrest...
Lovely place where you not mind geting stranded?!?

I know the place well. I would not worry at all as long as you do not have to stay in any of the major cities. The situation in the islands is completely different than in Athens and strikes or protests are not likely to happen at all. This is a case that benefits the consumer 100%; holidays in Santorini but for the price that you would pay for Athens.
