Nice little machine, but the 2 hour battery life would put me off it, if i get something thats portable then i want the battery to last for a little longer than that.
it is nice and light at 1.25 kg especially give the larger than netbook screen of 11.6 inchs. Up to 4 hours battery life, though I think you will be lucky to get that (review says about 2.5 hours at best), though a good replacement 6 cell battery would give lots of remote working. Sadly only VGA out (same as many netbooks) as HDMI ro DVI would have been real nice. 2 gig of ram at 800htz is real nice, a lot of performance comes from the bus speed and ram speed.

LED screen? Has a resolution of 1,366x768 pixels, which is real nice
No optical drive (normal for a netbook)
The CPU is 1.2 Ghtz slower than a Atom but the bus speed increase should make up for that.
Overall it seems very similar in performance to a standard netbook, with only b/g wifi and t100 ethernet, but the extra resolution of the screen is nice.

Noticed these last night at Lee Mill, Plymouth (plenty in stock it seemed!). For a Pakard Hell it was surprisingly solid and well built. Noticable size difference compared to a Compaq 10.1 they had next too it, but not huge. I would still go for the NC10 or 1005HA for the same sorta money. But ya pays it and takes ya chioce!.. Heated!
Where d'ya get the description from? :?
No optical drives on these, so no PowerDVD either I'd have thought.
Should qualify for free Windows 7 upgrade, but I bet they supply it as a disk

In a stunning display of f'kwittery, it's from the PB website.
Ive seen a similar one of these in my local tesco, they really look good. I would say the best looking net/note book.

The processor is a bit patchy tho to be honest, I dont think this will be a super performer
Gutted, no tesco near me believe it or not - This would have done the girlfriend me thinks, she only uses it for looking at pics, email, facebook etc...mainly facebook :P but doesnt want a typical netbook because of the small keyboard and screen...this would have been perfect!

You can buy them online via the link from OP for £299 - still a good price
I got one of these to take on my holiday with me to keep up with the HUKD's. Used it for 2 weeks, the screen and keyboard size was great but the battery life was useless and one of the keys broke within about 3 days use so it has gone back.
Just spotted these in Tesco Extra for £269. Very tempting but reviews suggest that at most to expect 1 hour 30 minutes from the battery. I'd rather not be anchored to the mains. Apparently Packard Bell are now owned by Acer and this model shares the same chassis with an Acer model.
