One of the best budget computer deals ive seen, heat added
Would this have enough power to run as a home theatre PC? Maybe with the addition of some TV tuner cards, and installation of HTPC software (maybe Myth?). Does it have the transcoding power, and what are the noise levels likely to be?

I know your I'm going to get told to get this PC and get that PC etc., but decent spec MiniITX (H55 based) systems are easily £350 plus from what I can work out!
Packard Bell = Poo!
There are some complaints regarding whether the items are 'new' but to add he does have a lot of satisfied customers as well.
Not bad. Good spec for a HTPC.
The Packard Bell Maintenance forum has been down since Windows 7 release.
Weird that... : - /
Price is ok, but no, shame it's not a E6300 cpu...
Not knocking this but can you post eBay deals on HUKD? Would like to know for sure. Isnt there a big risk of self promotion?
the price seems about right for the specs
Orderedva sat nave from these guys that was supposed to have Europe maps and Bluetooth. It was also supposed to be brand new but what I got was a lower spec non Bluetooth model with uk maps that was second hand.
I seem to have nothing but hassle with these outliet stores. That said I've only used this and argos.

Yes, if they have a non-ebay shop to like Argos for example. It turns out that Techfurb is part of the DGSi group, so Techfurb deals can be posted.
You can't really knock this as it comes with Windows 7 Premium. That alone costs a big chunk of this price so for someone wanting a net PC, burning DVD's and general PC tasks this is a great price.
Bang in a £30 5450 and you're laughing. Will be quicker than the acer revo units
eSATA and HDMI. Would be very tempted by this if I didn't already have something doing the job.
how is this a good deal? It's old crap for 170 quid.

processor is not old, check reviews, great price-to-performance ratio

Let's see you post some better deals with Win 7HP for the same money then; looks like a very good deal for a non gaming PC / HTPC to me. Two memory slots free as well so reasonably cost effective to stick another gig or two in. I'm seriously tempted.

whoops looks like they've all gone now anyway :-/

Edited By: spamcan61 on Oct 06, 2010 19:54: maybe expired now
Packard Bell used to be made by NEC but Acer acquired them a couple of years ago and quality improved although still built to a price.
Beware of Packard Bell, the specs always look reasonable but for some reason they always manage to build incredibly slow machines - they try and cut corners on the motherboard and the motherboard is key to a system that really performs.
I bought this one http://**** and it came today...With a sticker on the side saying

Pre Owned Product - Ex repair Returned from Service centre.

Box looks like new with security seal attached.

Anyone else found the same? I am scared to open it...
