Boasting the new Genuine Windows(R) 7 Home Premium operating system, the Packard Bell iMedia X4520 delivers an enhanced performance, simplifying and enriching your home computing experience.

* Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 processor
* (2.5GHz, 1333MHz FSB, 4MB Cache)
* Genuine Windows(R) 7 Home Premium 64-bit
* 3GB DDR2 memory
* 320GB hard drive
* NVIDIA GeForce 7050 integrated graphics
* DVD Rewriter

No monitor, but still seems like a very good deal.
This processor is faster than the one in the Compaq CQ5223 which is sold at Tesco.

All in all a good unit if you're after just a base. the Q8300 is several processors above the AMD AthlonII x4 620 in the Compaq.
For comparison of processor speeds check this link:

No but its a Packard Bell from Dixons which is no better :-D

And if I am going to spend £350 for something I can wait a few days.

The Medion from Aldi does seem a better spec. And the fact it is sold through Aldis makes little differwence as they are just "box shifting" so it would not matter which of the supermarkets it was.

And Aldi did win supermarket of the year in 2009 :whistling:

Ok you win. You obviously work there.
You're right though, the Medion has a bigger HD, and more memory :-)

You've got some funny ideas about retailers! :?

I would "love" Poundstretcher or Primark sooner than "love" ANY DSG company, and worse still, buy a Packhard Bell from them!

Is there any worse combination? (other than Advent!)

I am also boycotting DSG in 2010 after last weeks non-existent £209 quad core PC that did not exist.
