Can't you do your own research?

Personally I think Packard Bell have yet to make a good PC.
#6
in the key feature at the bottom it says Q6600?!?!

Anyway that graphics card is absolute pants so you won't be doing any gaming on that, regardless of how good the cpu is. The RAM is also the slowest DDR3 you can get

Good spot. The specification lists the above, but yes, the key features did mention the Q6600.
I think it is the I7

Why did a PC that was new 5 months ago need a refurb. It seems it was junk new so it can,t be much good now

I think there are different reasons why items get sold as "refurbs", but good point.
Here's what they say -

Factory Refurbished: These are products that have been returned to the manufacturer and after stringent diagnostic testing there has been 'No Fault Found' with the product. These products are then resold as a factory refurbished item with a 12 month warranty (provided by Telephones Online) at massive discount prices. This also includes laptops, desktop pc's, phones & faxes which fail high quality standards due to damaged packaging or slight cosmetic imperfections. The box seal (if originally present) may have been removed or opened to allow the product to be fully inspected.

I have never bought a refurb. Some people on here have, and there is mixed reviews. I think it is just your luck, but at £450, I think it might be a bit much to risk on the quality, as they could have dropped the model because of problems, hence the refurbs...

Looks a very good spec for the money, even if its a packard bell. Wont find another spec like that for that price.

You buy one?

No Bryan  I thought it looked good, good spec, good price, but I am still using a Pentium 4, shows you how up to date I am on puter spec, so I thought I would post and maybe get some positive, constructive feedback...One of the comments posted (that the poster later removed) was something like, "computer is pish, find a better one you lazy ****"
Lol, usual helpful HUKD crowd! :w00t:

Note to self, always go with your gut

Agree its Very Good Spec.
But Very Good Spec does not it this case necessarily mean Very Good quality

I agree. I had hoped that someone who knew a bit about the latest tech, or building puters might have done a comparison with what it would cost to build, or similar spec'd machines that they might have came across, too late now :whistling:

My last Packard Bell (Ixtreme, late 03 model) with celeron processor is still going strong in my brothers house. I have always found PB to be reliable myself.
