Might want to add total price and retailer to Title!

plus £11.74 delivery.

as with your other post - not a bad price but I'm not voting as I feel that half the point of a desktop is the upgrade path and this one is limited.

its limited in that you cant upgrade the processor to the new range, so core i3, i5 or i7 as they have a different pin architecture. The ram on this mobo is DDR2 and the new standard is DDR3, you cant put DDR3 in a DDR2 mobo so when you want to upgrade you will have to get a new mobo, new processor and new ram and because the gpu isnt that great either you may as well get a new one of those... so the only thing really missing from a new machine at that point is a hard drive a case and a psu.

up to the consumer, but personally I would save my money for a bit and pay approx 500 notes for something a bit more future proof with a good upgrade path.

Its less than £400, theres no way your gonna get anywhere near a core i3 i5 i7 with the ddr3, so for this its ok, for you dream on about your i3 i5 i7 with ddr3 for £500,

you may as well not even comment or add any heat or frost, just stick to looking for a bare bones pc, good luck with your £500 benchmark

Sorry i'l take that back here is an i3 with ddr3 which i posted a few days ago! http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/581754/build-your-inspiron-580-418-99-dell but later pointed out as a dual core!

I didnt vote because it could be a reasonable deal for people that want a cheap machine that is never going to be upgraded - I am a power ***** and a geek, all my friends that aren't geeks use me to upgrade their tech for them - I was merely passing on my opinion.

The I3 is a dual core processor but it is created with the 32nm core which is a better product than the quad included in this deal. Where this qud will have an advantage over the I3 is in multitasking as each core can have a different task, in reality most people do no need such multitasking power so IMHO a newer generation chip, mobo and ram is a wiser purchase for people.

For under £600 delivered you can get a core i5 system (I'm sure this could come down if I bothered to research it better)

that is a link to a HP PAVILION P6235UK DESKTOP - I have use lambdatek before and have found them to be quite good, cant comment on the build quality of the HP though.

As I say - up to the buyer.

If you think the link to that PC you found is good at £569.42 put it up see what people think!
I think its awful your paying for the i5 core! thats it the rest is not that great the graphics card is awful, not sure your quite the tech geek you think pal

The GPU is the easiest bit to upgrade, besides the 220 is about on par with the 9600, if not better - I never said that machine was a gaming beast just better than the one you posted. If you want a machine that handles gaming well you have to pay a lot for it as the gaming industry changes so rapidly. The CPU included in the machine I posted as an unresearched example would trounce the one included in your deal by a very very long way. Anyway rather than feed the troll any more I'll leave it there.
