* Warm, lightweight padded winter jacket

* With fleece-lined stand-up collar, press-stud storm flap and adjustable cuffs

* Available in various designs

* Sizes: 38 - 46

Remarkably good quality jacket, with zipped hood and zipped pockets - even YKK zips used! A bargain at £12.99.

Why does everything fro Lidl have to be a deal? They just sell value and qaulity cheaper than anyone else. The whole shop is a deal (nad that applies to Aldi and Netto)
#2
Why do people have to make comments such as the ones above? If everybody presumed that all people knew where to look for certain items then nobody would post and the various different types of stock month to month the likes of Aldi , lidl etc have in surley merits a post when something in particular catches somebodys eye as being good value?

Sorry to put my 2p worth in but i agree with ZedEx, i know lidl do some great stuff but i never think to go on their site to see what the deals are......I saw this jacket and the first thing I thought was....this is ideal for my hubby who works outside and whose jackets don't last because he is alway ripping them on something.....so a nice lightweight, warm jacket for £12.99, ideal imo......thanks op

That was at Aldi not Lidl.

Crazy question!
It's probably a lot better at keeping you warm than so called "branded" name jackets at 4 times the price.

At my local LIDL they had some high visibility jackets for £19.99 - they are thick, warm, waterproof and very bright. I bought one for my cycle commute - they may not be the optimum material for cycling but for cold weather it's great and much cheaper than what they sell in the cycling shops.

great for my daughter who works outside in a car garage

i disagree, my current jacket retails at £160 and i can assure you a £12.99 lidl special wouldnt come close at beating it for warmth :p

it was a genuine question btw, i just would never opt for cheap clothing......but each to their own :thumbsup:

Oh well, you'll never know what bargains you'll be missing.
Nor everything that's cheap is rubbish, just like not everything expensive is wonderful.
I'd never spend £160 on a jacket :p
I could buy a tower PC for that and get change!

Everytime you get something worth £80 it costs less than £20 to manufacture&deliver, rest is the cost of marketing. :thumbsup:

Dead right. There's very little, if any, difference between this jacket and one costing £75. It's well put together, very warm, and even the zips are decent YKK ones.

If people are soft enough to pay 6 times the price just for a fancy label, more fool them. Their loss!

These are the Lidl snobs who look down their noses at Lidl, think they're clever buying a brand they recognise, but aren't bright enough to realise that all they're doing is pay over the odds for advertising and ridiculously high profit margins.

Losers is the word that springs to mind...........;-)

:w00t::w00t::w00t:

congratulations on the most ridiculous post of the year!
to call people snobs and losers just because they prefer to buy quality is just shameful !

and trying to justify a jacket is quality because it has a YKK zip is even more ludicrous!

shame on you !:roll:

Thanks for the award - much appreciated. If it makes you feel good, with comments like 'does anyone actually buy a £12.99 coat?', to look down on people who appreciate a bargain coat when they see one, that's fine by me.

If you're happy to spend £150 on a coat, good for you. My original post wasn't actually getting at you specifically - it was directed at people who just automatically write off a £12.99 coat from Lidl as being no good. However, if the cap fits..................:)

Wrong on all counts!

You're confusing price with quality - the link is tenuous at best!

That's why the expensive 'designer' stuff has the label on the outside - otherwise how would anyone know. Still, if it makes you feel good..............

Looked at it an I'd rather wear a vest.

My local Army surplus store wont make you look this stupid and will cost 1/2 the price if not better.
