The BD version of this best selling PlayStation Network title will include both the game and loads of expansion packs previously only available online in PlayStation Store, a package that gives you fifteen characters, two extra environments and three new game modes. If you like to GIVE annoying characters their just desserts by flinging them from a giant catapult into walls, windows, tanks of gas, piles of tyres and the occasional clown?, you might have already heard of the incredibly addictive PAIN for PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) and know just how much fun it is.
Whats it all about? The basic premise is simple: cause as much chaos in as short a time as possible by launching an array of human cannon fodder from a giant slingshot. The more painful the landing, the bigger the score. Of course, thats not all there are all sorts of variations to play such as Fun With Explosives, where you have to detonate as many explosive targets as possible, Fortress, where you fling everything to hand in order to knock down an opponents castle, and Darts, where youll aim your characters head-first at a giant, sticky dartboard. Theres also online multiplayer where you get to compete against others across PlayStation Network.
Of course, PAIN wouldnt be PAIN without the assortment of oddballs, losers, warped geniuses and occasional celebrities wholl be lining up to step into the catapult. Take your pick from an array of misfits including latex-gloved nurse Ginger, one-legged pirate Scurv Dogg or his ninja nemesis Hung Lo, angry punk Nigel, Elvis-impersonating sumo Ao No Kutsu, innocent-looking but evil schoolgirl Yeoni or fiery Mexican wrestler El Chilie Grande. Many of the characters are currently available only as expansion packs; however, with PAIN on BD, youll have them all from the word go.
