Do not include Quidco to the price.

I'll wait for Nvidia to release their bang for buck cards.

An absurd price for any video card.....

These are normally £429 and there is no bad makers of this card so you don't have to worry about buying best value. With screens its a problem and other products.

Agreed. Plus there's no games out at the moment that require this much processing power. However if anyone rich wants to buy me one I'd let them. :whistling:

On the plus side, you wont be needing that argos bbq this summer. These things run at >100c.

Built a rig last weekend with two of these in SLi. At idle they are too hot to touch lol

Great cards though, just a bit too hot for my liking.

Best price for this card so added heat, not good value though compared to ATIs options.

With the way the PC gaming market is at the moment I would think twice about purchasing this. Bought the 5850 a few month back and the only games that are being released I can run max due to most being console ports. Only taxing games I have played so far are GTA4 and Crysis.

If you are loaded and have a 3 monitor setup though then why not ;)

To the above poster with the 5850. Try AVP in DX11, suppose to grind systems to a halt. GTA4 is just buggy and Crysis is crazy lol

But yeah, depending on the resolution you game at, most of these high-end cards are overkill.

Not a green vs red coment, but compared to this a 5850 is just damn good value..... why even two 5850s...

I've seen the 480 at £480 at some places which is why it should be called GTX-£480.

I wouldn't buy one even if they were cheaper as I want a quiet PC and don't like the high temps. even if NVidia say it's OK to run as hot as that - can't be good for the silicon.

Plus you need a bigger PSU and better cooling - probably water.

Also won't be needing to turn the central heating on in the winter either
