Yep but a fair bit more expensive though, eh? The 1GB model can be had for as little as £140 if you shop around, thats £100 cheaper than this for 2 of them, not really a fair comparison is it?

2 6870s in Xfire can be had for this price and I would wager a fair wedge this card wouldn't be faster.

Although to be fair I havn't had chance to look at the Hexus review yet as the page seems to be down atm.

Not a great price if you ask me, watch pricing for this card plummit when the 6970 launches in the coming weeks

@Nobull
Yes more expensive but uses less power and has no inherant SLI issues.

@Downhill911
I dont think prices will drop for a while, cayman might not even be released till the new year and will be hard pushed to beat this performance. This is the best price around atm its £45 cheaper than at overclokers uk

Just read the review and I have to say I'm decidely unimpressed with this card. Whilst I trust Hexus and think they do excellent reviews it does seem to me a little overlooked that this card DOES not address the 2 biggest concerns of the GTX 480, namely power draw and temperature. In fact its even worse in some scenarios! Granted it's 15% faster but you'll now have to pay £100 premuim for that 15%. What's more it's kind of funny that tthey can't claim fastest card on the planet as the 5970 is still faster than this!

I think the 6970 might well better this card and if it does I bet it does with lower temps and less power...

True enough. Wouldn't use less power than 2 X 6870s though. Uses more power than a 5970 but is addmitedly about £30 cheaper.

Don't get me wrong its a gd launch day price but I think if you had this sort of money to spend on a GPU set up I'd look at different options and certainly I'd wait for the 6970s release.

Plus its a fiver cheaper on Dabs, which is a pre-order but so is this
