Was going to buy this when my pay day came. Still not sure though. GTX 780 is nice......

I knew this was going to go cold but thought the free glasses would be an interesting freebie. Maybe since I probably need a pair myself, with sitting in front of a computer screen all day during work and then some more after work.

Just bought a 290 Powercolor PCS which is faster than this for £100 quid cheaper on ocuk. Why do people still buy Nvidia?

Exactly. The r9 290 is crazy cheap and is on the same level as the gtx titan but for a gtx 770 price.

Well I actually own a MSI 290 Gaming myself which was bought a while ago for £280. It was a call between that and a 780 at the time and I chose the 290 in the end for the reasons that you both mentioned.

Just thought that if you have to go for a 780, this seems a nice deal with the free glasses and game.

Yeh, this is definitely a great price for a 780 just annoys me that Nvidia still get away with this unjustified premium.

I was looking for a new card a while back and got a gigabyte windforce 780, evga classified 780 and ended up settling with a MSI Gaming Edition 290 like yourself and there is literally no difference in speeds, except now the 290 wins with Mantle in BF4 and will in all future frostbite games. I only switched to the powercolor from the MSI because the cooler on the powercolor was a little better.

well this is not a bad deal considering how much they cost usually and the freebies with this; ideal for someone going to pair this with another 780 for sli.

r9 290 is NOT as fast as a titan however the r9 290x is roughly on par

I'm referring to the 290 pcs+ which is factory overclocked and offers better than 290x reference performance. There is about 6% between the r9 290 and 290x clock for clock
