This Orange Palm Z RC Aeroplane has been reduced to just £12.99 delivered from Play.com!

The incredible Infra Red Palm Z Indoor Micro Plane is probably the smallest Remote Controlled Aeroplane in the World, and is firmly predicted to prove another Flying Toys phenomenon following the unprecedented success of the Picoo Z.

Lightweight, safe and easy to fly up to three together on Bands A, B & C using rudder and proportional motor control, this tiny eight inch Indoor Biplane features a red LED flashing light, and has a spectacular performance in the smallest of spaces!

Watched Plays' video, not sure if it's got the power for vertical loops but actually looks pretty nifty when the pilot pulls off those tight turns near the end of the clip :-D Hot.

Thanks Nookster :)

Heated and repped, thanks, could anyone who buys one please write a mini review, i.e how suited it is to the average sized living room, build quality etc...

I worry that the turning circle would let it down compared to the Picoo Z.

Thanks.

Don'y know if they were also initially selling yellow ones, as shown above, and on the video, but they are currently only advertising them in blue & green.

Sorry... my bad!

That was what I did initially, and then when I reached the bottom of the page I saw the blue and green ones listed under 'Related Items', and thought that was all they were selling... doh!

Oooh, i'm super tempted, does anyone own one, can they be used in the average sized living room, a chopper can rotate on its axis meaning you can use it anywhere but a plane has to have room to turn, its hard to tell from the videos but it looks like it has a good turning circle.

If only it could do loops and rolls.:w00t:

Seems to be higher prices for the other colours.

Seems like young lads are not going to be amused having to wait 15 mins plus recharge time to fly the plane for 5 mins though. I think they would soon get bored with that.

I'd argue the opposite, most "toy" RC cars (they didnt have planes in my day) took about nine hours to charge and lasted maybe fifteen minutes, to fifteen minutes charge for five minutes play is actually really good.

I race "proper" RC's at a club and it takes maybe forty minutes to charge the cells for a ten minute blast, so its really good actually.

You can only use nitros outside because of the fumes, not all that reliable given the Great British weather.

I suggest you keep a watch on these as this is at least the second time play.com have reduced the price of a particular colour. I bought a green one for £13.99 (less Quidco's 4%) 10 days ago after reading a thread started by firestarter03 on August 18.

infrared? is this reliable for something moving around like this?

Your TV remote is Infra-red, how often do you "miss"? I occasionally have my chopper drop out of the air, but it usually picks the signla back up before it hits the ground, but this is really rare, all part of the fun.

The only downside is if you fly outside (which they arent designed for) too high it will just keep going...
