Thanks big_anth :)

Panasonic is a good brand renowned for quality. PCWorld were doing the same model (TX26LXD52) for £699. A 23" Panasonic (TX26LXD6) at John Lewis costs £750 (inc 5 year warranty though).
#7
To mean this seems not a good deal when you think that a 32" is only about £100 more - am i missing something?
#8
I have a similar model the Panasonic TX26LXD500 which I got for £349. The Viera panels are regarded as one of the best and is the best in the 26" range. That's why they are so expensive. Get a good HDMI DVD player and a good visual DVD e.g. King Kong and the quality and colours are the best I have seen. Will keep you happy till the HD wars is over.

I think this is a good deal. top up tv slot, freeview.

Almost ordered. No VGA slot for pc though.
I dont have room for a 32 in my bedroom.
Good reviews.
12ms response time.

Dixons online showing for 197 but no stock on my post code.

£197 ?

Thanks for all the responses guys/gals, mixed responses but thats good as it provokes discussion and brings out more infor on the product
#12
Gary :- £197 displayed @ Currys & Dixons is a CON ! PCWorld was selling this model for £699 (same DSG group)

Dixons / Currys site tend to display silly prices when they have no stock. A 5MP Canon camera is £15 inc Free delivery @ Currys site since May 2006 with no stock available.

Thanks edi!

Im in the market for a decent telly for hooking up to a PC and Xbox 360 so any deals need to keep coming!!

Is there a reason why someone would choose this over say...

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/106962

... other than they havent got room for a 32" reason?

... Ok well i spose it doesnt have freeview.

Arr someone help my buy one as i have money burning in my poscket that needs spending.
#15
LCDs may have the same specifications and connections but you pay for quality, especially with the panel. The average Joe won't notice the colour difference but others can, especially with a HD source. Look on AV Forums, top reviews for every Viera model.

hi

i am new to these forums and just to add a note about bargin crazy..they do not always deduct the discount and u do have to fight them on this point!

also if u deicde to return the item for a refund it took me a good 8 weeks, several letters and phonecalls before they refunded me!

they are hard work

pls be cautious!

Hi adam30, welcome to hukd's and thanks for your response :) Sorry to hear you've had bad dealings with bargaincrazy, i personally have had no problems at all ... discount was added and service was good.

I think in this case with the discount code actually being on their website as a promotion everything should be fine.

thanks for the welcome!

I'm seriously considering getting the A321 that i linked to at Ebuyer. Scan sometimes have it on special for £575 delivered www.scan.co.uk/todayonly. Its supposed to be really good as it has 1 to 1 pixels for ya PC. A unique feature I'm told. Anyone have/seen the A321.

The only trouble is that there are no vouchers or anything for them so i dunno if i should wait for curry's or whoever to get one and use vouchers and quidco - grrrr HELP! lol

mines for my bedroom too! i was also looking at the dell 24" monitor as the res on that is silly! but there have been a few issues which have put me off! I dont need digital on it as i have an MCE PC.
#23
I know this is high jacking this thread a bit so sorry, but im gonna go for A321 - just waiting for a good price - will post in the deal request.
#24
No doubts that this is a great LCD TV.

For LCD TV reviews check out
http://www.homecinemachoice.com/reviews/index.php?category=LCDs

You can search by brand etc and get great reviews on most LCDs out there.

BTW, with this deal, you pay the full amount and then get a credit back once they have verified the promotion code. There is something on their FAQ pages about promo codes. Read before you part with your hard earned........

That all depends on what brand the 32" is - the Panasonics are (usually) superb quality.

oopppsssss,

thanks for your advise mate.....

£629 is out of my league :(
#31
is £577 in ur league?
#32
I've bitten the bullet and ordered one of these.

I'll keep you all posted about the promo code working / price / delivery etc. I agree that if the code is posted on their website, then it should all be legit.

For what it's worth, this TV got 5/5 by a couple of credible review sites and at the beginning of this year was £1000.

at the min, i would say yes !! but maybes not in a few weeks when pay day comes and parents give me some mone (hopefully!!)
[mod]#34
If you want this at the special price of just £498.20 delivered i'd advise you to grabbit while you can! This discount code finishes tomorrow!
#35
where does one buy this tcv for 349 ? please seems very cheap.
#36
£533.11 for this TV at Argos but including a three year warranty (by redemption) http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5361940.htm. You could, however, price match that price at Argos with John Lewis where you would get a 5 year warranty.
