Was in PCWorld on Tottenham Court Road today and they have a big pile of Panasonic 32" 1080p TV's for only £299 (marked down as clearance from £599) - I searched their website and can't find any that price, but I think it's the one in the link (I'll pop in on the way to work tomorrow for exact model and take a pic).

No idea if it's store specific, but gotta be worth taking a look.

They had at least 6 instock this afternoon - just to add they were all boxed and new, so not ex demo/used stock.

FreeviewHD sets on the way + comments from Argos this week that TV sales have been weak in the last year probably means there's a lot of stock around that is going to look *very* uncompetetive in a few months time when everyone will see FreeviewHD as being a standard requirement

Im looking for a 37" if anyone has seen a good deal.

If you read the title properly it clearly says 'instore' so please do not expire.

So that makes it ok for the op to post a different picture and link to a higher price?

He has linked it to the correct TV and price - read it again!
It certainly doesn't make it ok to expire - that would be MORONIC!

p.s. No idea how it is hot as no one can confirm the price or availability.

Been saying it for ages. Few people agreeing with me, but they're wrong.

They had three different 32" panasonics in my PC World last night. All last years '10' models.

The £299 model was not 1080p but they did have a 1080p model for £329.

Considering your avatar and applying a little logic to that statement:-

1) You deliberately say untrue things so anyone who agrees with you is wrong
2) You know from experience that everything you say is wrong so if people agree with you they're wrong...
... but wait a mo if everything you say is wrong? Aghh! me head hurts....

Thanks hitme for confirming there is some sort of deal going on - probably different at each store depending on stock...
#23
Has anyone been able to goto PCWorld to verify this deal?
#24
They've got the same deal in Currys at £299

Apparently the same deal is running at Currys, so you may want to check there.

What is it with morons on here? Especially when it comes to TV deals ffs

Heat added, but sadly none available in Durham.

Have been back today and this was indeed the S10 model, rather than the S20 - apologies for the error, but I thought I'd made it quite clear that I wasn't certain as to the exact model number.

Anyway, I hope it's of help to someone and my experience of posting an offer doesn't put off anyone else that wants to help a fellow site member!

:)

PC World in East Kilbride had sold all their S10 offer models. However, the Currys store next door showed 1 in-stock. It was the last one they had and...hate to say, but, I bought it.

Thanks to the OP for this deal. Watched some bluray and loaded up some stuff on the computer via HDMI and it's real nice. Great for the price and performance. Thankyou.

Nice price, but most people should wait for Freeview HD built in.

Tried to explain that to my mate who said does that mean "HD Ready" !!!!

The message is not getting through I fear :)

There will ALWAYS be a new technology, just around the corner, to wait for. If you continue waiting, you will never buy anything.

At some point you just have to bite the bullet and buy whatever is available at the present time, for a good price. If and when your existing TV breaks down, then once again, you will need to shop for the best TV, for a given price.

No point waiting for Freeview-HD to be included. The Panasonic with F-HD was marked up to around 549. Not worth it right now, especially when most boxes are sitting well over £100. They'll drop because no-one in their right mind would spend that when you can sit back with a £10 freeview box that the majority of people are already happy with. Give it time.

EDIT: Btw, the model in-store was a Panasonic TX-L32S10B. And I've managed to get some really nice 1080p stuff running like, bluray, pc gaming over hdmi and upscaling dvd's. This tv is fantastic! Love the picture and love the overscan removal feature which works wonders with the Ati 5870 overscan option as well.
