I got this tv from JLs just before christmas. Really happy with all aspects of it. Blu rays and games look incredible on it and i dont find the sd picture to be too bad as some people have complained about.

no, they were selling a lower spec - not a neo PDP panel, no freesat, no 5 year guarantee, no anti glare screen ....

this is a very good deal - and has been posted before but had expired as it went out of stock.

There is a very good review of this TV at the link below, was rated 9/10 when it cost £947 in May. Image quality and features each get 9/10 but sound could be a little better. At £669 and a 5 year guarantee its a great buy if you want a freesat TV

it had expired, and I can't unexpire it - and the deal is slightly worse now as you don't get the free blu ray player.

I did this as stock is obviously limited and it is the quickest way to alert people to the deal being on again, was it wrong ? how can I unexpire an old deal, i honestly dont know

Well if you ordered it direct from a store rather than via their website, is it worth taking advantage of JL's never knowingly undersold ? Get in their quick with a claim (after checking it's that price in M&S store today too - which I fear may not be true.)

Quick question from me, sorry if this isn't the place to post but here goes.

Really keen on this but want a DVD/Surround sound system to go with it - any recommendations please?
Only other connections will by Sky HD & possibly a games console (for peace I have games consoles set up on Sony 26" LCD in bedroom at the mo & kick kids up there...) Pain when I want to play tho...

Happy to go Blu Ray system that plays DVD but heard lots of issues with some systems not recognising various sound formats, etc...

Last thing is I hope to spend around £250 on it - I know that's going to limit but it's too soon after Xmas..

The £85 is an optional extra payment, meaning they will supply, install and set up a satellite dish for you, to connect to your G10.

I wish they would stock the 46" version ;-(

Edit sorry I was also looking for the Newer G15 model also.

dixons are doing the 46 inch for £750

If you have a sky dish with a quad LNB (meaning two spare ports), as I did, just get the correct length of cable and two of the correct plugs and run the cable from dish to TV and plug in, tune it in and bingo, BBC HD plus all the other freesat channels.

Can anyone please tell me the difference between this set and the Panasonic 42'' TX-P42G10 for sale at JL for £599 ?.
#34
Sorry should read Panasonic Viera TX-P42X10B £599 ,
#35
The X10 is poor compared with the G or V which use Neo screen technology. = BIG Difference!

Sorry should read Panasonic Viera TX-P42X10B £599 ,

I am sure someone more knowledgable will chip in here but essentially the X10 is a few models older than the G10 - so the G10 for only £70 more is an absolute deal.

G10 is full HD 1080p rather than 720 p, has better pannel with newer technology etc
#37
Thanks for that......think i will have to buy myself a late/early xmas/birthday present.

the x10 is only 499 at john lewis now, they have price matched richersounds with 5 year warranty..

Might be worth trying your local M&S store for stock - I did and even though they had none at £669 they did have one ex-display for £600 - so other stores might be the same. Went to have a look - perfect condition - no marks or scratches and came with 5yr guarantee - got myself a bargain! Thanks to OP.
