Nice deal, though the BD45 can be bought elsewhere for £80 so don't expect to flog it on for more than that.

They use a small bit more than an LCD, however do provide better specs (600Hz v 100Hz) etc.

amazing price

I think this is the deal for the in-laws, now i only have to convince them.

M&S always state in their adverts free delivery on tvs above 26", but it always applies the £3.50 delivery charge at checkout.

Its been like this for months now and about time M&S sorted it on their website.

Very tempted as I just sold last years model and its was a decent telly. Only sold because warranty had expired and after selling the blu-ray and quidco it'd cost me about £50 to upgrade. Tempted.

Hmm this ok the LG PK350?!

Voted hot! Been looking for a new telly as my old CRT blew up a few weeks ago!

Panasonic plasmas come highly recommended, this 2010 model S20 isn't the top of the range, but has deep blacks, wide viewing angle and excellent motion handling.

So I just ordered one of these, can confirm that it comes up as £532.50 total payable for TV & Blu-ray player after discounts are applied on the checkout page, couldn't get rid of £3.50 delivery charge, which is annoying as it says free delivery on this offer. Missed the deal last time at £570, glad I waited.

Best price elsewhere for the telly alone is Dixons at £539 less £20 discount code, but no Blu-ray player or 5 year warranty.

Also, don't forget 3% Quidco (-£15.87), so total cost for me is £516.63

Don't add their £60 HDMI cable, just got a nice one off Amazon for £3.99.

I'm excited to be entering the world of HD, thanks for finding the deal leesy_monavie

Can't get the bluray to be free... mm

I'd put the 5 year warranty in the title, it makes it an even better deal

Amazing set, amazing deal :D I doubt you'd get a better TV package for this price

Btw the blu-ray isn't discounting off, I don't think its included

What's that all about,if I seriously wanted one I would be on the phone to them asap.

I think the free blu ray player is not free anymore. OP needs to ammed the title or expire the deal

The other deal I was contemplating was the Panasonic TX-P42C2B at Dixons for £349 less £10 discount code, but that model is only HD Ready 720p not the full 1080p, is older technology (not neoPDP 600Hz), doesn't have the Freeview HD tuner (so you would need an ugly box) nor the Blu-ray player which I need anyway.

All in all this is a better deal, the 5 year warranty seals it for me.
#16
Yup, its gone. And the boss had just approved the purchase :(

Back on the search for a new telly...
#17
Oh no!

Just read your comments about no Blu-ray player, I hope they honour my order, I've kept screengrabs of some of the order pages just in case!

Do you think it was a mistake or they've just run out (it said while stocks last)?

I rang them (out of desperation !) but its gone folks and no hope of getting the br player - i personally think it was an error, but those who were lucky to order before it was removed will get it honoured. It was in my basket showing at 10:15, when i checked out at 10:20 it was gone. This is what happens when you spend 5 minutes looking for a free delivery code.!! :-(

I've just checked, I've received the order confirmation by email showing the 2 items at £532.50.

Am I home and dry?

Nasty small print at the bottom says:

"Order status

Please note that this is only an acknowledgement of receipt of your order and your offer to purchase these items is not legally accepted until we send you an email notifying you that the items have been despatched to you."

So I'm not counting my chickens yet.

Anyone else got a successful order at the price?
#21
Would have been a very good deal.
But probably not enough features for me - you can compare the Panasonic ranges on their website

Basically, lacking USB/Divx, DLNA, and some older tech (no THX, Viera Cast - whatever that is!)

Is that what they told you when you rang up?

No not exactly, but this has happened to me before in similar circumstances and they honoured the deal. I'll PM you now with some more info.

I raised this with them and they said the deal of the day is for the tv only, as advertised on the offer page (does not mention br on deal of the day). Alternatively they said i could purchase the tv for £699 with the free blu-ray as advertised on the link you attached.
#26
I see that the BD45 player is no longer even showing on their website as a separate item...so that is incorrect information!

This was a deal I posted 3 weeks ago,
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/panasonic-42-tx-p42s20p-viera-full-/768856

Same TV with Blu-ray player but at a higher price. I'm guessing they only meant to reduce the price of the TV but some Numty left the free Blu-ray player offer on there as well. When they realised, they pulled the player.
