The 46" is often more expensive than the 50" since it sells more - look around and you can find the 50" for less than this. Voted cold

Hi
Thanks for posting. I have added an image to your post.
This is a link, made by rayman, which explains how to add images in great detail. It’s worth taking a look at if you are going to post more deals in future : - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/339941/how-to-post-and-host-images-for-thr/
Or follow the link in my signature.

Great reason for voting it cold?!

If the 46" really is more popular, maybe that's because few people have room for a 50". If you're looking for this set, this looks like a good deal.

Thanks for the info and not the cold, brrr

Would be helpful if you could back up comments like that as I have searched online and the cheapest 50" of the same model is £1,076 from AJ Electronics, John Lewis is £1,349 and is£1,399 in Marks & Spencers which of course includes the sound system.

mrbandersnatch you are the weakest link, goodbye :whistling:

Surely this has to be a hot deal for this quality TV if it also includes a sound system and 5yr guarantee. Heat added.
#8
I was looking at the 42" version with John Lewis at £899, can get it slightly cheaper with Richer Sounds with 5 yrs warranty included.

For an extra £100 you get a 46" and a home cinema system, which I think is a very good deal.

Dixons has this model 50'' for £989.99 but no warranty

Still, you're deal is hot

Great find OP!

Voted hot, nice deal.

I paid £999.99 for my 50 inch G10 from John Lewis (price matched Richer sounds)

I also paid £824.99 for my 42 inch G10 (but they are gonna refund me the difference because its £779.99 at Richer sounds)
#14
Seems like an excellent deal to me. The G15 has just come out which explains the reduction, the only differences are: Viera Cast (access to some online service via TV), thinner profile, cheaper to run and extra HDMI port). PQ is exactly the same I understand.

Wife works for M&S and I have also gain my own card, but 20% staff discount doesn't apply to M&S electrical departments. I have tried many times in the past (on the off chance)

Would be a pretty neat setup using Viera link :) Very tempted!

Cold. 50" http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/r/panasonic-tx-p50g10b-plasma-screen £970.

I think they run courses to help people who have difficulty using the internet at your local library. Just show your pension book :p
#21
The home cinema system does look like the basement model (next best price I've seen is £179.99 on currys.co.uk)

Still I think this is an overall good package.

I think I'm going to hang on though and go for the G15 model, I need the extra HDMI as the 3rd one on this model is on the side rather than the back.

I would like to get a Panasonic HC system to make use of Viera link in future though.

Still, a great deal though!
#22
This is a great deal for the new range of Panny TVs, voted hot hot hot!

I've got one of the surround sound sytems they're giving away here. i got it free from M&S with another TV purchase a while back. I have it connected up to a PS3 for blu-ray surround sound and the surround from the DVD's are just great. It's a decent system and have had a good experience with it. I'm no audiophile but it does a good job for me.
#23
Great find Thrud

£976.98 after discounts (VAT & home cinema) - £48.85 (5% Quidco) = £928.13

I've been waiting for this model to drop below £1k, but to get it + a home cinema is great....thanks
#24

Shipping is £20 extra. You don't get a surround sound system or a 5 year guarantee for that price either. Do some research and you'll see that pixmania also has a dire customer service record.

So what? You're supposed to pick a screen size based on your viewing distance, not just to get as many inches as you can for as cheap as you can.

Plus, the 50" will sound crap (as all LCD/plasma TVs do) unless you have an external sound system to connect it to, like this deal includes.
#26
The 50" is available in Costco, or John Lewis, or Richer sounds for the same price with 5 yr warranty.

Not hot!
#27
will.

Dunno about Costco, but it's

£1349 at John Lewis - http://www.johnlewis.com/230575887/Product.aspx

£1099 at Richer Sounds - http://www.richersounds.com/product/plasma-tv/panasonic/txp50g10/pana-txp50g10b

So £999 for a 46" with a home cinema system, 5 year guarantee, free delivery and potential Quidco is a bargain for me
#28
What does the Viera link do? I've got a PX80 and have no idea what its use is
#29
My Quidco tracked at £48.67 virtually instantly...

Had been looking at the 42" in RS for £770, will stick the free surround system on flea-bay or here and hopefully get this outlay down to about £850 max

50" would be too big for my living room, but had wondered whether 42" would be big enough, so this is a great compromise!
#30
Just looked and it doesn't discount the package (comes up at £1198) and says offer expires on 13/08/09?:?

It discounts at the final stage of the checkout...I think 13/08/09 is from when the offer started

Does this 50" have freesat? or are you just grabing prices for 50 inch tv's in general. Not a fair comparison if no freesat!
I'm another oldie!

Yes, it does have Freesat, it's the 50" version of the same TV. BUT it's not a fair comparison because it doesn't include the home cinema system thrown in, five year warranty or free delivery. Coupled with Pixmania's reputation it's dead in the water.

fantastic price, fantastic set. brilliant buy to say you get the cinema kit and a 5 year gurentee

have some rep & heat on me :)
