Jeeze, that is some BS....... Zinc Carbon are only any good for remote comtrols, useless for most other stuff.

Not a deal as they are always this price. Use them for my computer mouse, and remotes about the house, not really any good for things that use a lot of power.
Professional? They're Ok for remotes and stuff, not for high powered stuff
they are awful !!!!!! DONT BUY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not good batteries - you get what you pay for - but thing is they are always this price , no way this can be described as 'hot'
Worst batteries ever, even simple clocks stop running after a few weeks with these.
I sometimes use cheap batteries in kids toys. My theory being I don't waste so much money when they are left on inadvertantly. Also they won't run as long, so less wear on the toy!

Good for xbox controllers
Actually even a bad idea in remotes - the batteries last a long time in a remote control so get forgotten about, they may keep working past their sell by date and start leaking... I've had many remotes ruined by zinc batteries in remote controls (when I used to fix these things) and would only use (relatively) leakproof alkalines in anything of any value

Best deal around are the ikea pack of 10 for £1.50
Good for xbox controllers

I'm a mild gamer and I use them for my Xbox 360 too. They are perfectly fine for the price.
