recently saw sony, lg, samsung blue ray players around £100 mark, at £150, what makes this special?
#3
Great deal.

And if you take the Underworld Trilogy as your freebie from Amazon, you're in fact getting 10 free Blu Rays !!!!!

Well this gets very good reviews http://www.trustedreviews.com/home-cinema/review/2009/03/12/Panasonic-DMP-BD60-Blu-ray-Player/p1 and http://www.avforums.com/reviews/Panasonic-DMP-BD60-Blu-ray-Disc-Player-Review.html and you get eight films as well.

I have to agree......... Dont find this a particular good deal, i got the "very.co.uk" offer on the phillips player for £69, im looking for another but there are better deals out there, and i prefer to choose my own movies
#6
Be happy with your Philips player then, I suppose!

The thing with the Philips Blu ray player is that it can't decode DTS HD Master Audio, has a optical output and has any media playback with the usb port so it unfair to compare to this the Phillips bluray player. Also with Littlewoods their code are not very reliable as you may be asked to pay full whack if the code was not sent to you personally.

I've had my eye on this for a while, its a very good player with the ability to stream youtube and play divx, much better than the phillips and more features than the sony equivalent. They also have this at Dixons, same price but 3.5% quidco. The free movie from Amazon however is a better deal, if there is a film that you would buy .
#9
mmmmmmmmm cheaper than richer
#10
so impressed I bought one, great find

meh, all these bluray players should have .mkv playback by now, stupid movie studio's trying to persuade manufacturers not to add it.

For £69 i will......... thnx for the concern, although not needed, but hey its another pointless post from you to get your post count higher :P
#13
not such a gd deal imo, can buy blugay player far cheaper, ppl blinded by the free films:whistling:
#14
But you won't buy one with as good a picture quality!

I really don't understand some of the dissenting posts here...and comparing Phillips junk with Panasonic is an absolute joke!

This player is excellent [daughter got one free with a TV deal from M&S recently] I have compared it to the equivalent Sony S360, which is also very good - and the extra features of inbuilt memory for BD Live [never understood why this wasn't standard on all players] and the inclusion of a USB port for playing additional media are real worthwhile bonus points IMHO.

To the poster who complains of no .MKV support, you can't really blame them for not supporting piracy!

Remember, this is primarily a BLURAY player...so, if you want to play all the different file types under the sun, then get a dedicated media player, like the excellent Popcorn Hour....

Well i phoned Amazon customer services and explained i had bought this player one week ago and they let me add the extra blu ray at no charge.

Chose Underworld Triology 3 disc set value £14.95 BARGAIN so i got 10 discs free!

I love Amazon and HUKD

Not all blu ray players are the same lol. I have this one and its very good. The added usb port for playing divx films is awesome  And 7 free films ftw
#27
pity you have to send off for free films as when hd dvd did that I never got my 5 I was promised when I sent off form and still waiting now :lol
#28
it also has an SD card slot for playing MP3/Divx etc

I recently go this player from Richer sounds for £139 on price match with RGB direct. It was the multiregion(DVD) version too. The films you send off for come through pretty quickly (about 2/3 weeks i think)

Does Amazon count as an authorised Panasonic dealer then to claim the other 7 blue-rays?

Thanks Dananana - Does it say this somewhere, or are you speaking from a previous claim?
#33
Yes if you buy from amazon you can claim the films, i know this because i have bought one after confirming this direct with panasonic first. There is a back log regarding the films as they are awaiting one of the films because it was only released last month.
