High Definition Video
The DMC-FX37 can record motion images in high-definition (1,280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps). The DMC-FX37 also supports the HD Output function (1080i output). Simply connect the camera to an HDTV with an optional HD component cable DMW-HDC2, and you can easily view HD Photos on any HDTV. HD Output makes it possible to enjoy both HD motion images and slideshows of your LUMIX still images, complete with music.

Ultra Wide Zoom
The high quality Leica zoom lens covers a 35mm film equivalent of 25-125mm focal length, giving scope for excellent landscape and indoor shots as well as telephoto shots of distant subjects. The 10.1 megapixel resolution will ensure these images are crisp.

Intelligent Auto Technology (iA)
Intelligent Auto Technology is bascially the collective name for four detection and optimising functions which work together seemlessly and add up to perfect shots every time:

Mega OIS- optical image stabilisation

Intelligent ISO Control- detects whether or not the shooting subject is moving and if so, allows the camera to shoot at a higher shutter speed thus preventing motion blur

Face Detection- up to 15 faces in a photo (In iA mode, the camera automatically begins focusing without even having to press the shutter button halfway)

Intelligent Scene Selector- automatically selects either Scenery, Portrait, Macro, Night Portrait or Night Scenery mode according to conditions
Venus Engine IV Image Processor
Designed specifically for imaging, the Venus Engine has the following advantages:

Greater Resolution (especially for diagonals)

Quick Reaction Time

Effective Colour Correction

Less Energy Consumption
I have a similar camera; the Lumix DMC-FX35 and it is great. They have a very high build quality, are easy to use. I doubt you will be able to find a better compact camera. The only bad point that I can make is the lack of manual controls, but this is almost always the case with compact cameras.

I payed £163 through using discount codes with dixons for the black version to replace the exact model that was damaged after jumping into a pool. This is a great little camera that will even do 720p video at 30fps.

I think the price is hot as another post for the fx35 had it for £149. for £10 more you get 5x zoom instead of 4x. Also do not forget that the 25mm lens allows you to get more into your photo than 28mm lens at normal distance.

im just wondering, totally of topic abit, but are you allowed to take digital cameras into clubs or concerts ??? I always wondered this and I think that you're not allowed.

Just asking as if I were to get a camera I know it would mainly sit at home, as I would tend to carry it about with me alot just wondering if I would be able to use in clubs & or concerts
