I've been watching these for a while and they've just dropped the price for Brown and Silver. Black remains at £168.62. The silver was £189 yesterday! This is a revised model of the FX35, an excellent camera with good reviews.

I paid £162 for my TZ5 around October time. Whats the diff between the TZ and the FX ? I was under the impression that the TZ series was the top of the range ?

the TZ5 has a better LCD screen, twice as many pixels and a little larger, this is a compact version with half the zoom, it's also 94g lighter, handy for those with limited space that do not need the extra zoom of the longer lense TZ series

Well if its anything like the TZ5 i can highly recommend these Pannys. Cracking in every deptartment once you get your head around what settings to use in a particular enviroment. Anyone seriously thinking of one of these over say an Ixus... go for the Panny all day long !

FX = The small luxury models (in the past have been re-badged as Leica C-Lux 2) which concentrate on size & build quality.

TZ = Travel Zoom range, much bigger than the FX, but with a longer zoom.

Both great cameras. If you need the zoom then get the TZ with a tripod. If you don't (I didn't) then get the more pocketable FX. I own the FX33 and when the time comes to replace it, top of the list will be another Panny FX.
