I'd just decided i wasn't going to buy one of these after deciding a surround sound system would be better, now i have to buy both!!!!

need to get a Region B BD player (was hoping for a RegionFree hack for the PS3, but none forthcoming), so this seems to be the best out of the current lot of budget Brand name players, especially as my amp only accepts LPCM via HDMI, I need a player that has onboard DTS HDMA decoding, the Sony 350 doesn't, this Panny BD35 has DTS HDMA decoding.

but still hoping the price might go down a bit more, seeing BD movie prices have come down quite a lot, it's about time hardware prices comes down.

Been looking at these for a week or so and took the plunge today but bought it from Play

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/8056240/Panasonic-DMP-BD35-Blu-Ray-Player/Product.html

Same price but they are offering a £15 voucher for a free Blu Ray disk of your choice.

Nothing wrong with the player you have ordered, one of the best for the money and it plays DivX and has usb, if it was a choice between the 2 I would go for the LG to.

?
On the review you posted, it says 'Pricier players like the Pioneer BDP-51FD and Panasonic DMP-BD55 offer more depth and definition but on the whole the LG is a solid performer'

As the BD35 & BD55 are sister machines (only difference being the BD55 has additional 7.1 analog outputs), doesn't that also mean the BD35 should offer more depth & definition than the LG as well? Hence its the BD35 that has the edge in terms of picture quality.

Gotta say that the design of the LG looks absolutely gorgeous though

Can vonfirm this remote works in making the BD35 DVD region free

Just ignore the 'Kameleon' bits

I own this for past 4 months. This is an excellent BD player. I got it region free for DVDs but not for BD. Anyone here knows where I can get a chip for a region free conversion and if anyone does the "chipping" for a fee. :)
