  I own the almost identical 65 model from last year. Really Really fast to boot and run. Picture is fab. Very smooth and quiet mechanism, unlike the Lg i have which clunked and clattered from new. Recommended.

  Comments say its noisy as hell, and while it plays DVD and BluRay just fine it has problems with CD.
  
  I was actually looking at it earlier today when someone posted a deal for another DVD or BluRay player.

  Not a bad price but it has no Optical or Coaxial audio out which is very poor in this day and age.

  I dont see why you would want coaxial or optical out, when hdmi carries picture & sound to your home cinema system anyway?

  I have this player - bought when M&S had them for £49 - and think it's much better than the Sony player it replaced.
  
  Mine's not noisy either. Superb picture quality and much better upscaling of my US TV downloads than my dedicated V Bridge media player - though it doesn't handle all file types.....
  
  Bargain for the money.

  My home cinema receiver (Yamaha RXV-359) for example does not have HDMI sockets. The HDMI lead needs to go directly to the TV for picture and the optical or coaxial out needs to go to the receiver to take advantage of my 5.1 system.

  Was the a few pence cheaper from John Lewis. Was on the site last week but OOS so rang up and have had one shipped from a store. Should arrive tomorrow.

  yep, thats right, im still looking for this particular player though, its stil live, so i have clicked expire, and have writen the reason ,so anyone else looking knows that it is not £49 any longer.
