Panasonic DMPBD60EBK Features:

- PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus is a high quality image-processing technology developed by Panasonic to precisely process each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the vertical direction.

- It reproduces colour data with twice the accuracy of conventional systems to keep colours faithful and sharp.

- Panasonics developed high-precision 4:4:4 signal technology also processes each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the horizontal direction, to complement vertical direction processing.

- When viewed on a VIERA high-end model, which features 4:4:4 signal compatibility, it recreates images with the original film quality to further enhance movie enjoyment.

- As this model is compatible with the VIERA CAST function, you can access YouTube, Picasa, and other Internet sites from the special VIERA CAST screen.

- USB for JPEG / MP3 / DivX

Blu-ray™ discs are only available while stocks last and no responsibility
can be taken should disks not be available at the time of your claim.

did you pinch this off me in the BD300 thread porter? :p

Good deal - I wouldn't worry too much about not getting the discs as Panasonic are pretty reliable..........

Fantastic product and price (epsecially as multiregion for DVD only)

Combined with the free Blu-ray films, you will not be disappointed.

This sounds like a great deal - my only worry is that the term and conditions say that the player must be bought from an authorised Panasonic dealer. Does anyone know if RGB direct will count?
#7
Yes they are, they appear on the approved Panasonic Dealer list, check for yourself here

so u only get xmen 1,2,3 + xmen wolverine, ice age 3, natm2, and then u have to pay £4 postage to get them, i doubt many folk want all the xmen ones....

8. No responsibility can be taken for claims lost, delayed or damaged in the post.

why so many issues to get free disks??? they seem they want u to go the distance and if u dont get them then tuff....

Personnaly for less that £100 more I'd go for a PS3, plus you'll get 2 or 3 free games as well.
#10
PS3 has a better sell on value also...

Agreed. That is just my opinion though everyone so please dont bite my head off :?

I'm a blu ray buyer now, and my flat mate has a dvd player in room next to me... when i pop in it looks so washed out.... ps3 with added bonus of blu ray does it for me!
#13
In some cases, you can get a PS3 80HB PHAT for only £25 more...

The bottom line is, yes you can get a PS3 which does alot more etc, but for a dedicated film/movie buff who wants the best quality from his/her blu-ray film you cannot beat a dedicated Blu-ray player, and for the price mark this model has got very good reviews.

I wouldn't worry about the Panasonic T&Cs etc, I've claimed against their promotions and have always been honoured.

Don't like the films, simple flog 'em or use as (xmax) presents, this will make this player even better value for money.

:) BLUE-RAY..sounds like a blue movie producer?
#17
So lets get this right. People are on a thread about a dedicated Blu-ray player and there are people recommending they pay even more money to buy a PS3?

Would you recommend an XBox 360 or PS3 to someone who wanted a DVD player? No.

The day that the PS3 was a better option than a stand alone player (also offering 7 movies along with it) is long gone and thus advising a PS3 over a vastly cheaper option like this is just nonsense fanboyism taken to extremities.
#18
is it easy to make this dvd multiregion then? its not a one4all remote job is it?
#19
id prefer this sitting under my telly to a ps3.

good deal

Yes, I bought this player a few months ago from RGB and claimed 2 free blu-ray discs, which were sent.I paid £200 for it, and the instant playback of my sd card pictures and AVCHD camcorder footage, for me, makes it well worth the money, great deal.

i bought one of these players from "comet" and whilst it says multi-region, it does not play region 1 dvd discs.
