Wow; this is a bonus if you have be waiting like me for the price to drop from £700 or so less than 3 months ago. has this unit in the 40% off electronics sale. Nearest price online is around £630 at amazon etc!!!

Please don't question the unit functions or compare to other units; I am only interested in highlighting this absolute bargain for those people that are interested in this unit.

This link should give you the manufacturer details

decent price but cant see any reason why it would be an accident by play. if it were on sale for £53.99 then i would agree!

Modified comment; but this does seem like a significant price differential to all other hifi retailers.
I've voted hot because compared to any other seller this price is excellent, but can anyone tell me whether you can record from a SkyHD box or Dreambox in HD to this unit, or is the recording from the built-in HD tuners or camcorder the only source of recording in HD? I can't seem to find this info anywhere on the internet, it all seems very vague on where the HD content is from.

Also, don't forget Quidco and if you go HERE you can apply for 6 FREE Blu-ray titles from Panasonic, including Avatar, Knight & Day, Sound of Music, Alvin & The Chipmunks, Minority Report & Kingdom Of Heaven.

Pretty sure cannot record from Sky HD, as no HD source input -
Panasonic DVD recorders can trigger off the "Autoview" in Sky, via the SCART when the player is set on "Ext Link". See p64) for the DMR-BW880. Manual for this is on -

I am tempted by this too, though fo me it is a choice between this and the HUMAX freeview HD recorder, but that has iPlayer, which may sway it, along with the price difference.
