I have the older 75 version and it's superb... at that price this is a bargain! HOT HOT HOT ;-)
I bought one of these at this price from Dixons online a month ago and despite horrendous delivery problems this is a fantastic machine. It doesn't have a one click pause live tv, but hit record, play and pause does the same thing

Can't recommend it highly enough
I have an older panasonic which records to dvd ram, a little bit noisy, probably its age but still going strong, this looks to be a superb deal, i may be tempted. Great find voted hot.
It is a great price, just all my stuff is silver so won't match, never mind.

This is the one I want
Anyone with an egg card should check out dixons via the egg link - about 233 with 7% CB.
Good machine , I've got one; only minor downside is no analogue tuner.
Does anyone know if the latest models retain the widescreen tagging when recording is set to High Speed Dub mode? Previous models did not.

SirHugo

Also - how does this compare to the equivalent Sony machines - the Sony RDRHXD970 250GB is under £300 currently at Amazon

Any info appreciated as I'm sorely tempted by this deal....
Only thing is it'a not Multi Region.
looks like with effort you can make it multi region:
Same price at Dixons without any codes, are there any about for Dixons , can only find £10 off £250
Free delivery not working for me ?
What exactly does the 'Full HD 1080p Up-Conversion ' mean?? Does that mean It will turn my normal DVDS in to FULL HD? and the same for normal TV like football etc?
Almost ordered this. Unfortunately, according to the spec, it doesn't record on DVD+R which shouldn't bother most of you but for me it's very important. :-(
Don't you mean DVD+R ?
Don't you mean DVD+R ?

Yes I did mean DVD+R. I'll correct in a min. Cheers
Mine works on DVD+R and it's the panny we're discussing here DMREX77EB

Yes, although I guess it's never going to be quite as good as an original HD format... I assume it adds more lines and "interprets" what should be added in those extra lines? I could be talking rubbish though!
does this have series link?
does this have series link?

Hi, I've just bought a Panasonic DVD recorder DMR-EX77EB. Everything sets up fine, and it finds TV channels no problem. But then the picture immediately disappears (but sound remains on OK). Whenever I try to turn the DVD off and then on again, there is still no picture. I only get a picture if I have a menu on the screen (such as the "Function Menu"), and as soon as I turn the menu off, the TV screen turns off as well. Can anyone offer any advice please?

try messing with input select and check your scart leads are connected properly
Just ordered this recorder from Dixons for £223.23 + £3.95 using code DISC02.
