Champagne shaver, lemonade price!!

There's quite a few deals around on various Braun shavers at the moment, but it's rare to see this Panasonic model so deeply discounted.

Panasonic gives superior shave to Braun in my opinion, and you'll see from various reviews that lots of other people who have tried both agree.

The next cheapest I can find is £180+, and it's £229 at John Lewis.

It's my first post so be as nasty as you like. I couldn't care less what a bunch of anonymous forum members think.

This is indeed a VERY good price (considering other sites I use for this kind of thing) are asking for circa £200.

However... IMO, £138 is still far too much to pay for an item that (in all honesty) could be done manually for far cheaper, or by another electric shaver for considerably less, and still provide an equal or better shave. Even if I was on £2k a month, I'd still find it hard to justify this sort of expenditure. Maybe it's just me?

A quick look around, and the Braun 2778 Cruzer2 Shaver is available for £25 inc. free delivery. Yes, a different shaver entirely and probably lacks the whistles and bells, but I'd rather pay that sort of prices and still save over £100.

Cold for me.

Hot deal from me, I love panasonic wet and dry shavers:thumbsup:

Hot deal for me too. I got a top of the range panny shaver around 11 years ago for about £120 if I remember correctly and it is still going strong on the same batteries. Foil and cutters are still available too.

they give a far superior shave to the phillips or braun ones as I have tried em all and they do not compare at all.

I for one get a wet shave feel without ant rash or soreness. Very tempted.

Have just switched from Braun to Panasonic and I was expecting a much better shave but I was very disappointed and have reverted back to my old Braun.
Where as the Braun cutting foil seemed to glide across my face the Panasonic seemed to drag and dig resulting in a very painful and uncomfortable shave.
I will stick to Braun in future in my opinion a far superior shaver.

I had same sort of problems with braun. I wonder if your face gets used to a certain type maybe? I also tried a cheap panasonic and that was pants too which is why I stick to my old one with new foil and cutter when needed. Seems to fit my face lol:w00t:

I paid £170.00 for this shaver around 4 months ago from Electrical123 - its the best electric shaver I've ever owned. As close as a wet shave with no shaving rash - honest!

Its got a reasuringly solid build, with 4 foils which individually ride your face contours.

Negatives:Little on the noisy side, but generally a shave takes only 4mins and the sideburn cutter is a little small. Oh, and you have to buy carts but read my usage tip to save costs.

Tip for potential buyers: Clean the shaver every second day (dependent on hair growth). Wash the shaver under warm tap (take lid off to clean blade area) in turbo mode before putting into cleaning unit for final clean/lube/dry. Although I've got spares, I've not been prompted to change the original cleaning cartridge yet as there is minimal shavings in the system after 4 months.

At this price I'd snap one up - they are generally £200 +

You may consider this expensive or a bit of a luxury item, but cheaper shavers just don't compare. Head added - good find!

Geeza
